First, I'm sorry for making a "which gun should I get"-ish thread. It is not infact one though, as I simply want to know which one to mod. I am looking to know which one gets better ranges, and each pros and cons.

I first was inclined to the PC, because I like the design of it. But then I heard about it's handle which makes some people "uncomfortable", if I remember correctly. I am going to put a stock on it (whichever it is), so I guess the feel and shell of the Magstrike isn't so bad.

I also want it to go far, so please say ranges of both.

When choosing in the poll, please post why you chose what you chose; it will make it easier for me to choose which one to mod. Also, keep in mind I do not have a PC, and I do have 2 magstrikes, and 4 clips.

Thanks,

-OfAll'

PS: I am also looking to integrate something onto this, possibly. Probably a homemade, maybe the small SNAP Carbon posted.

Unless you do some very drastic work on either their ranges are pretty much the same.

The primary advantages of the magstrike over the powerclip are.
1. No need to modify any parts to make clip removable.
2. Includes a second clip.
3. Better availability, and therefore lower cost
4. Better weight balance (not as front heavy in stock configuration)

The Powerclip can also be a cruel mistress and very difficult to diagnose if anything does go wrong. This may be due to the shell design not being as robust as the magstrike. The clip needs to be kept firmly seated against the ratchet teeth that are mounted to the shell. If the shell warps from fatigue then the clip will have trouble staying advanced.
The Magstrike is a VERY refined version of the Powerclip. Occasionally (1 in 20) you will get one that has an irreparable manufacturing defect that will cause a leak, but other than that there has been very little discussion concerning mechanical problems after prolonged use. The same cannot be said of a Powerclip though. But maybe time will tell because certain guns age well better than others.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Both my PCs are very reliable. One I've owned for a year and a half and the other for six months; neither of them has had any problems.

Like CS said the ranges are around the same, but my Magstrike got a few feet (maybe 5) on my PCs, probably because the clips are a tighter fit on my Stefans.
