Well i've been doing this thing switching from working on modding guns and makeing them, and I finaly got back to makeing them. After seeing Carbon's new SNAP 1.5 I decided it was my turn to try out a SNAP. Right now I have all the pieces but the metal rod that I need to prime the gun with.
My only problem is what gun should I model it after?
Right now I have it designed after a FAMAS but want to see if theres any other designs I can find before finishing the gun.
Help With A Design

Wow. Modeling a gun after a FAMAS, especially a homemade. I'm gonna say it's gonna take a lot of plastic, time, effort, and investment. That won't be an easy aesthetic job.
I am NEVER going to sleep naked in the bed of a former child star ever again....seriously

Well it is the summer and the only other thing I do is hangout with friends. So I have the time. Of course it will not be perfect, and the clip wont work. I found a way to make the clip work in the back but it would take to much time and effort to finish right now. It will still be alot of cutting and shapeing though.

My advice: Don'tMy only problem is what gun should I model it after?
Come up with a function you want the gun to perform then let the solution you come up with dictate the configuration. Rather than the other way around.
The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

I wanted to find something to model it after first but for some reason I didnt give your idea a thought till now. It does make alot more sence just to build the gun and then model it. The only thing is I know what the gun is going to look like with just its main parts so I wanted to see if I can get a head start.

I echo CaptainSlug on this one. Greenough said "Form ever follows Function", and I'd be inclined to agree. A blaster with the right balance between usefulness and ergenomics posesses its own asthetic appeal.
That and the chances are that you'll get hung up on looks and planning, then never build the thing.
