I guess I'm the only one who thought the movie was really bad.
I wouldnt go for really bad, just no where near as good as the first and about as lame as the second. There was so much they could have done to make it better than it was. Or maybe I was just expecting too much...
I'm sorry, it's people like you I just don't understand. I'm not calling you stupid or anything, you're entitled to your opinion, but how could you not just LOVE the second? In all its piratey goodness?
Frost, I agree, ithere doesn't
have to be a 4th movie, but if you look at it another way, it could. I mean they really left it off with barbosa looking at the map and seeing the huge hole, and jack sailing away in the dingy following his compass. I don't really call that an ending. But if you look at it your way, it makes perfect sense also.
I liked the second, although now that I think about it, there wasn't really alot memorable about it, except them trying to find Davy's heart, and a bunch of fight scenes (I only saw it once...).
I know, the ending is pretty sad (although no one else I've talked to thinks so), heh, I don't think I could go that long either. I knew one of them was going to die, or something "bad" was going to happen. It was a way to give it that "there's no such thing as a perfect ending" feel, but also not completely kill off Will.
If they do make a fourth, they're going to have to free Will somehow, or there isn't going to be alot of him in the sequels, he only being able to step foot on land every ten years and all. Unless, of course, they do alot at sea (which they will... they're pirates...).
