I just saw it today, just wanted to know what other people thought of it.

I loved the first, the second, and third. They just got better. It's so much movie to remember though. I can't remember any funny/witty expressions; I guess I'll just have to see it again.

So, just post your thoughts!

Hehe yeah.. I saw it Sunday, that movie was fantastic, I loved every inch of it. I just hope they make a fourth, to tighten the loose ends.

Meh, the third was a little too complicated. I can only remember some memorable quotes such as: "How's mum?". The end-battle sequence was cool although I thought it would be a battle not a duel. I am also not quite fond of the ending, but I had pretty much predicted it. I think that it was probably one of the funniest of the trilogy, but it sometimes created unecessary confusion. And, as always, the special effects are top-notch.

Did anyone stay for the bit after the credits?

I love it when Jack is sailing of on the dingy at the end and looks at his compass, and it points to his rum. Then he pops the cork out, and it points to the black pearl, or the fountain of youth, it was a little unclear to me.

But I agree, they definitely set themselves up for a fourth.

I wouldnt go for really bad, just no where near as good as the first and about as lame as the second. There was so much they could have done to make it better than it was. Or maybe I was just expecting too much...

I don't think it's set up for a 4th movie.

The ending wasn't really saying there's a new quest to be found, but more like... how things stay the same--there's always another treasure to be found when you're a pirate.

The ending was not a happy one for me. I don't think I could go that long without... you know.

I enjoyed the movie, though. I disliked the second in the series because it was such a tease. Sigh. I had to wait a year to find out the rest of the story.

There were some very cool scenes and I love the out-of-the-box thinking that comes up in every movie. The ship battle at the very end was very satisfying (especially the very last.. "explosion"). I've been waiting 3 movies to see that happen. Oohh baby.

I'm sorry, it's people like you I just don't understand. I'm not calling you stupid or anything, you're entitled to your opinion, but how could you not just LOVE the second? In all its piratey goodness?

Frost, I agree, ithere doesn't have to be a 4th movie, but if you look at it another way, it could. I mean they really left it off with barbosa looking at the map and seeing the huge hole, and jack sailing away in the dingy following his compass. I don't really call that an ending. But if you look at it your way, it makes perfect sense also.

I liked the second, although now that I think about it, there wasn't really alot memorable about it, except them trying to find Davy's heart, and a bunch of fight scenes (I only saw it once...).

I know, the ending is pretty sad (although no one else I've talked to thinks so), heh, I don't think I could go that long either. I knew one of them was going to die, or something "bad" was going to happen. It was a way to give it that "there's no such thing as a perfect ending" feel, but also not completely kill off Will.

If they do make a fourth, they're going to have to free Will somehow, or there isn't going to be alot of him in the sequels, he only being able to step foot on land every ten years and all. Unless, of course, they do alot at sea (which they will... they're pirates...).

When Will came back after ten years, the curse of the Flying Dutchman was lifted from him, and he no longer had to serve as captain. Such was detailed by a scene that was (stupidly, if you ask me) deleted from the movie. It's explained that if the captain of the Flying Dutchman finds true love, and the person he love stays faithful after a full ten years at sea (shows when the captain comes back) then the curse is lifted. That's one reason that Davy Jones was so livid at Calypso for not showing up, on top of him being in love with her.

Because, there is a scene after the credits that shows you that.

I think the funniest part was when the indian guy stands up and says, "and now we go to war!" in a high pitched, squeeky voice. However, I do think that it was great, though it was confusing, it was still awesome.
( expecially with the exploding ship!)

I have it downloaded, if you want to watch it go to veoh.com and search for "1", "2", "3", "4", "5", "6" seperatly and set it to recently added. Its in 6 parts if you couldnt figure it out but yeah. Anyway it was a good movie, but I liked the first one better, and realy hated the second one, as well as any middle movie to a trilogy, with the exception of Star Wars.

I didn't think so either. The two writers for the movies posted as much on their message board. Unfortunately, their board is such that older messages get deleted, so it's no longer accessible. Several news sites made posts about it.

Two, out of all three movies, the first one was the best.

But what about the "Green Flash" Which Indicates that a soul has returned from the other side? if Will was simply the Capitan of the Dutchman still, the flash wouldn't go off, because as Capitan of the Dutchman he doesn't belong on either side... the green flash didn't happen every time Jones and his crew showed up, therefore Will's curse must have been lifted, regardless of the Deleted scene Shralla mentioned, The Flash is sufficient evidence that Will is no longer cursed.

Overall I liked the trilogy, though the second movie has a strange amount of putting humans in situations we put hamsters...

And I think there's room for a fourth one, it could have a more spy vs spy feel as Barbosa and Jack race to get to the fountain of youth... or even better, It starts AFTER they've both already made it to the fountain of youth...
