I was cleaning out my basement today and found my old sspb (And my first generation Nite-finder!), and can't figure out how to plug the air release. Is it just the hole in the end above the O-ring?

I'm sorry if I come off as a noob. Even though I am, this is my first pump gun, and it appears that this has a different release hole than other guns. Thank you in advance.

no the hole at the end of the pump is the release hole but it is kind of hard to get to because you have to saw away the part that keeps the pump in place.

I already have it out, and was just making sure it was the right hole. Thanks.

EDIT: I plugged the hole, put now the blaster doesn't build any pressure at all. Any suggestions?

That happened to me, and i couldnt fix it, so i had to trash it, it is one of those "you get what you pay for guns" if you pay 3 bucks you get crap.

Blasphemy. I think you need to throw yourself against a wall, drive to store and buy yourself a brain.

Well, I don't think that you should trash your gun, it probably just has too much hot-glue on the end. Make sure that the hot-glue is level with the hole. Also, pumping guns with this type of valves can be a pain, it's hard to explain it, but just give it a few short quick pumps. One last thing, the trigger on these types of valves sometimes gets stuck down, and all you have to do is make sure it's up before you start pumping.

Check you O-ring, my magstrike pumps were buggered after I took them apart. It might not be sealing well.

No worries. I'm a packrat

Personally, I think Prometheus is right. I unplugged the pump, and still, the gun only fires half the time. I'll try to find a replacement O-ring.
