Blasphemy. I think you need to throw yourself against a wall, drive to store and buy yourself a brain.

No guns really have kickback due to the force applied by the venting air... Maybe go to the spudtech forums if you want some kickback. They use high volume compressed air or combustion reactions to propel their projectiles.

Why do you want kick back? Really strong spring guns with stocks and heavy plungers usually have a decent amount of kickback.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

shoot a double-A battery out of a Titan.

^^^Try it; you'll get a good 20 minutes of cheap entertainment out of it. Use a sch40 1/2" PVC barrel.

Kickback is lame; it makes it harder to aim in an actual nerf-out situation. So are large, cumbersome stocks (that n00bs put on DTGs and the like) that supposedly counter non-existent recoil.

EDIT 1735: large plunger masses make the gun jump, but then your ranges go down the crapper.

Sometimes they use stocks to help hold the gun steadier, as some are poorly balanced, especially after modding.

A powerfull plunger gun will jump because of the plunger smashes into the frount of the tube.
Recoil is generated by the air pushing the projectile pushing back on the gun.
So the heavier the projectile the more recoil and the faster the projectile the more recoil.
Recoil is something people shooting real guns and thing generaly try to get rid of since it can throw of aim.
I dont know why you would want a nerf gun to do that but i dont really care have fun the battery in the Titan will generate recoil but it can also destroy the battery makeing it leak battery acid and thats not good so i dont recomend it.-------Sean

Standard double A batteries do not use acid. Only car batteries and some other large high powered batteries use a lead acid configuration. It is common misconception, but anyway, even though shooting "unusual" projectiles is fun, the chemicals inside batteries are toxic.
Back on topic, I do not think that it is practically possible to make a nerf gun with real kick back. The only toy gun that I have seen with considerate push back, is a CPS 3200 supersoaker. That thing was so powerful that on its highest setting, it could push against you with considerable force (back when I was in sixth grade, that is).

The force exerted on the projectile is equal to the force exerted on the gun. So either shoot your dart at a few hundred mph or fire somthing heavy. When shooting a Titan mega missle you feel some kick.

Yeah, that's the best idea; a bit safer than AAs, but same ranges.

Put a bike pump on the Titan so you only have to pump three or four times.

BIG KICK.

Yer it is possible. I get kickback from my air rifle i made. Just have a massive chamber with ALOT of pressure and quick valve(solenoid). It would give as much as a .22 maybe .22mag (not like theres a big difference between the two but still). Just use the same design as posted in the homemade secton of this site and instead of a ball valve put a solenoid.
