My modded CPS 2500 got 190 feet! I just bought it from value village last friday and I went straight home and modded it and put in a 12 inch brass barrel and it outshoots my CPS 1200 which max distance is 138 feet. Do you think my CPS 2500 is the farthest shooting modified gun ever?

that depends on if you count modded water guns. one of our clan members has a modified water gun that shoots 500+ feet when tilted. When straight it shoots about 200-300 feet. It's insane. He shot my brother with it in a battle and it left a welt that was open and bleeding. INSANE!

It's not a mod.

It's a converted water gun.

Range sounds impressive, how many times do you have to pump it?

Black Scout: 500+ feet? Not a chance in hell. People bleed when hit by homemades that only get 140' flat and ~200' angled. You'd need 4 or 5 times the muzzle velocity of a good homemade to get 500' angled.

it takes around 30 pumps, if you pump 110 times (max) makes no difference though, actually shot worse for some reason. B)

Whoa! The forums have changed!

Well, anyways, a modded water gun, like a modified paintball gun and/or a homemade isn't really considered a real Nerf gun in many people's eyes. Of course, ~200ft is really a nice accomplishment, grats.

Welly welly welly, if you say it goes THAT far, im not going to believe you. However, I assume it goes pretty far, considering its a super soaker, and those generally turn out to be good.

30 pumps, Wow Ive never heard of anything as inconvinient in my life. Imagine missing with that gun, if your old enough you might get a heart attack...Do you pump it to the max in wars, or are you smart and not use it? Heheh, im not trying to offend, but I find it hilarious, 30 pumps for a really big water gun, 110 max! Any way, even with 190 feet for 30 pumps, not to use, but awsome to get people into nerf!

It's not a mod.

It's a converted water gun.

-_- Well, mod stands for modification, and a barrel addition is a modification. Though, its not quite in the same realm as Nerf mods; it's like slapping some PVC on a Paintball gun, for example...

Sounds like a nice maximum distance, I would be more impressed to see you do some internal work as well. Happy modding.

The term ``modification'' or mod for short, in the context of nerf, is generally understood to mean taking a foam-firing toy gun and changing it in some way while retaining the original propulsion mechanism.

You're right to suggest that a water gun converted to nerf use is no different categorically than a paintball gun converted to nerf use. Or a Glock 30 converted to nerf use I suppose... None of those things were originally intended to fire foam.

Umm, Cxwq? I thought you said these forums weren't about how to hurt people. Couldn't this...fit the bill? After you flamed me for it, I'm suprised.
