I modded my Titan with a 13" Sch 40 PVC barrel. I took out the AR's and put a coupley on it. But when I go to test fire it, I angle it, then fire, only to see the dart to about 70 feet. I made it shoot Stefen Megas. Can anyone explain my problem? I'm guessing it my barrel length. Any answers to my dilema?

Check for air leaks, any other problems like dart seal, maybe the dart is too tight.

This is good to look into, also the barrel might be a tad long

I was playing with my titan, and I found my dads shotgun shells. The shottyshell shot fine but when it hit that rock it exploded.

The barrel length is definatly not the problem. My titan is fitted with a 24" barrel and it works phenomenally.

I don't think I would be losing any air pressure considering I haven't opened her up yet. But when I buy a replacement cutter, I'll check for any leaks. So there isnt a problem with my barrel length?

Maby the fact that you did not plug the over preasure release valve would make the diference. I am not shure though because I never shot mine before I plugged it.

I have another question, but not regarding the Titan. I have a modded BBB iwth a CPVC coupler on it. I was wondering what lenght the barrel would be? is a 6" barrel good?

You hit it right there. You need to plug the OPR Valve in order to achieve the reuslts you're looking for.

Search it, and look for the size. If you are using megas or micros will have a big effect.

If you intend to shoot steffans, I would say about 10"-1'.
I hope this answeres your question.

The titan. can me modded for megas or micros, (1/2" coupler, remember?) and each one would have an optimum barrel length for their size. Ompa did a really nice write-up for modding his.

And what do you mean by "if you can't add to a topic, don't reply to one"?

I'm going to use megas.
Sorry man, I don;t know what I was saying, I was really sleepy.

For the BBB, Dont you think 10" to 1' is too long?

I have found that 1' is too long for my BBB with its stock spring. I use 6" CPVC barrels. If it has a coupler, though, (and you said it did) man up and cut yourself a 12", 8", and 6" barrel, test fire, and figure out which one works best.

Well, since I know little about the BBB, I can only speculate. I would say yes, perhaps 7-8" would be the max for megas. I am only guessing off of what I have read, so don't quote me on it.

Well, 1' is to long if you are shooting megas. I agree with Prometheus, 6" should work well.

Ok, I'm confused. For the TITAN What size barrel should I use for MEGAS. For the Big Bad Bow, I should use around 6-7" barrel. Right?

I would say 7-8" tops for the Titan, depending on if it is stock or plugged. You can always try slightly longer, then trim it down if you think it's too long. I mean, 1/2" SCH40 PVC is pretty cheap, so an inch or so is no big deal if you have to cut it off. Now, using brass is a different story...

And for the BBB, right.

Definetly no longer than 8". I say around 6" is your best bet.

Just in case anyone else is reading this for information about barrel length, on my titan all i did was single the barrel, and the barrel I'm using now is at least 2' long. I still had to drill holes in the end to eliminate dart spin because too much air was coming out. When in doubt, make the barrel longer than you think you need to, because it's easier to cut the existing barrel shorter than it is to make a whole new one.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Well, I was using mega stefens. And I found out that 13" is best for me with my kind of megas.
