17/16. Some people might say its too small, but your darts wear out and become looser in it.

And inner diameter somewhere inbetween .52" and .535" tends to work best for homemade darts. Stock darts are kind of loose in anything larger than .52". So 17/32" OD brass will offer the best fit since it has an ID of .5033"

I'll assume stock micros, since they're the more popular to use.
Now, what are you firing stock darts out of? It does make a difference, according to what I've gone through.
Air gun? (SuperMaxx air powered, AirTech 2000, 3000, 4000, Titan, etc.)...I started out with 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Perfect seal with the suction cup heads, great performance.
Small springer? (NiteFinder, Tech Target Gun, SuperMaxx 250/350, AirTech 1000, yadda yadda) You've got 1/2" CPVC pipe, PETG, 17/32" brass, even Crayola marker barrels work fine. The dart will only go as far as the suction cup head, but that's all you need anyway. Which is a reason why I laugh when I see NiteFinders with foot-long barrels.
If all else fails, 17/16 tubing works well also.

Something else you might want to note is that glow darts (the cheap-ass ones that come with the Firefly) minus the gowing stickers fit very well in 17/32 brass, while I have to work not to bend or twist other micros into that size. 9/16 brass provides a loose fit for the majority of stock darts, although the dart is also liable to fall out.

So If i Were to make a double ball valve "submachine-gun" (not really a machine gun just the way it looks) i should use 1/2 probably, correct?
