I was wondering if the AT3K is worth the time, money, and modding time, for nerf wars? Is it a good gun? If it is what are some really good mods for it?

How many threads do you have to make about asking for which gun you should buy?

Check the modification directory for some really good mods for it.

I find that reading mods on a gun is really the only way to gauge the worthiness of the gun. By looking at the internals and how it works, I can usually make the decision of whether or not I want to buy it. I really don't give a damn what other people think about the gun because that's all subjective. The concrete evidence of whether or not a nerf gun is good is based on the inside--the guts. Read the mods posted in the directory. Try and piece together why people performed those mods and how those mods eliminated (or failed to eliminate) the gun's drawbacks. Then look for alternatives... AT2K or SM1.5K and see which of them are the "best" in your opinion.

Or you can listen to God (of nerf):

I spend 20 seconds searching the board for "AT3000" and look:

Modified well, the AT2000, AT3000, and Big Bad Bow are all excellent guns.

There you go.

1. Depends how much money, and what time besides the modding time? I personally like modding my guns.
2. Yes, there are lots of people who use it as their primary.
3. Refer to Frost Vectron's post.
The gun really isn't that hard to mod at all. You really only need to open the gun to plug the pump. Then just saw off the barrels and add new ones.
If you don't see any mods that you think are "really good", then just come up with your own idea to better suit you.

Ok. You really have to think about making your own mods insted of looking for other people to tell you how to do it. Use your imagination.
