When I go to ace hardware or home depot looking for a spring for my longshot, what kind of spring should I be looking for? I don't own a BBB to take a spring out of...sooo..Help much appreciated.

Don't use ace hardware spring #69 (I think). That beast of a spring broke my longshot.

I've never purchased a spring from a hardware store but the dimensions you are looking for are 3/4" ID, .06" to .07" wire gauge, and 4-3/4" uncompressed lengthThis has been answered many times. What I tend to use is a 3-3/4" section from an AR-15 action spring. You can buy them for $2-$3 from any gun shop or for $4.50 from Here: http://www.bravocomp.....ne action.htm

I used a nf spring to modify my friends long shot and it worked wonderfully.
