Our clan plans on bringing 4 people. We aren't sure who yet, but we'll keep you updated.

You need to read the entire topic. You can only attend Deal if you are invited. You can't bring other people. If you are invited, only you can go. No one else from your clan. Famine hasn't posted the final invite list yet, but a nearly complete version is on either page 2 or 3.

I'm glad that the Nerf War we're hosting is being so well moderated by people who aren't us in our absence. What a relief.

It was my original intention to post an updated list around the 6th but by my business trip wound up getting extended another day and it wasn't until the 9th that I actually got a chance to touch base with Vacc. Wait, am I justifying my actions to you? What the fuck is wrong with me?

Given how many NJ Nerfers are attending DCNO tomorrow I'd rather most of your attention be focused on that at the moment. Therefore a new list will be posted Monday night.

OMC, Groove, Warlock, Evil Twin (or is it the Good one?) - I need a final answer by Monday afternoon. I'm sorry but if someone else is needed to fill that spot I'd like to give them 2 weeks advanced notice. If there are some sort of uber-complicated reality-punch related conditions that are ABSOLUTELY preventing you from giving me a final answer by then drop me a PM.

Everyone else chill out and have a good time at the DCNO. We'll talk more aftewards.

Sorry for the last minute response, but I'm thankful to say that after doing battle with my boss for an hour, I WILL be in attendance. Fucking leave request forms...they always get "misplaced" or "lost." Misplaced my ass.

Anyways, I do believe I have that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off - Friday and Sunday being travel days, so I am in need of a place to stay for those that live nearby. If anyone in the area that wouldn't mind housing a Nerf God for both of those nights, please PM me.

I was able to work it out, and barring any last minute catastrophes, I WILL be in attendance; hopefully with a lovely young lady spectator who has agreed to tag along and document my awesomeness for the benefit of others.

Well it's Monday night and true to my word I have an updated invite list for you. So without further ado:

Horsemen (7) - To help make it possible for other's to attend we've trimmed one from our ranks.
LCM (7) - As of 7:45pm est I have not heard from Warlock or Evil Twin so I have no choice but to lower the LCM's Invites by one. Besides, we can't let them get the numbers advantage. Fuckers.
OMC (3) - The One Man, Dark Shrimp, and the elusive 'Pete' will make up their three.
z80 (4) - I have privately contacted z80 and he's making arrangements for four of their brood to attend. Z, try to get a me a list of who the four are and what to expect.
Misc (4) - Groove, Tailbone, Rambo, Badger. You're each invited to attend.

Now for those of you gifted in the Algebraic Arts you'll notice that the invites now add up to an uncomfortable 25 where as we originally were hoping to keep it to 22. Because of this we may ask a few people to pass on a round in order to maybe shoot some pictures or video of the war instead. Don't make a mountain out of this molehill, if past Deal wars are anything to go by we should have no problem getting volunteers.

We're less than two weeks out now people, expect more frequent updates from Vacc and I as we lay down the itinerary, rules, and expectations for the war.

Well I think the confirmed turnout is more than we could have hoped for. It's a little higher than I would have liked, but as famine said, we'll make concessions. All of you know the basics of nerf wars and the ettiquete that goes with them, so we won't go over that shit here. However, as always we'll be introducing a new war type or two to try out on the varied terrain that is deal park. Hehe, those of you who have attended before know some of these wars work well and some fall a little flat. As such we will be giving you the lowdown on them in advance (relatively) and would like feedback if you have it. Just know that we, of course, reserve final say on all the details. That said, we're really excited about this thing and fully expect that everyone in attendance will have a fucking blast or at least be too frightened to say otherwise. We'll keep you posted, and remember, it's your choice;

We always gather somewhere else and carpool there. This ensures everyone shows for the start of the war, which is important with preset teams. When we decide on the muster-point we'll give an address/directions.

I'll make it easier for you z80. Here is the section that answers it for you.

3. WEAPONS. Obviously, but what weapons should you bring? Well we don't allow any manner of homemade weapons. In fact, we're gonna stick with our original ruling that no weapon not using an original nerf air chamber or tank will be allowed (should not be a big deal with any of the guys coming). Other than that you can bring whatever you like, but lemme make some suggestions. If your main weapon is a airjet...bring a backup springer, guns break and there are no time outs for weapon issues in this war. You also WILL NEED A SINGLE SHOT SPRINGER PISTOL! We're gonna have at least one pistol round and while I had originally held out that air pistols were fine, famine pointed out that some douche bag would likely argue that a 1500 is a pistol. Well that hypothetical Douche-bag has ruined it for you all. So at least one springer pistol each. Bring it or sit out.

If it is shooting more than one dart, it is no longer a single shot springer pistol.

For the pistol-only war we really have to insist that each person use a spring pistol that fires only a single dart. Now having not seen your tripled-Secret Shot, would it be possible to load only a single barrel and leave the other two empty while firing? I guess Vacc or I would have to make a judgement call at the scene.

For everyone else, just bring a LNL, NF, TechTarget, Scout, T3 bottom, or Crossfire to play it safe. This isn't a lot to ask.

And don't be a smartass, this is not a pistol.

You don't have to be sorry, I'm not pulling any punches in this thread because that's just how Deal is gonna be. I want to impress upon you that there will be NO negotiations. THIS ISN'T NAM DAMN-IT, THERE ARE RULES!! and all it takes is one little harmless stretch of those rules to upset someone and potentially taint a round. I know you would not intentionally do that and I know that you weren't asking for special treatment. But fuck, it just makes for such a nice segway into my next update. Check it out, tea-baggers.
