I have never been to a war before but I have 2-3 friends that would like to come also. Is this a little too hardcore for a first war? We aren't gimps or anything but I don't want us to be the laughing stock of the day.
Yes, this isn't play time at the fucking Kinder Care. Did you miss the analogy? It's the fucking Hot Gates. Deal Park is where warriors go to die. Werid fat guys with razor sharp bone-claw-hooks would just tear your head off. Get a few other wars under your belt first. I dunno, maybe go kill a wolf with a stick or something.
And Rambo may be a gimp but he's a Spartan gimp which at least makes him worthy enough to fetch us stray darts and take vaguely homo-erotic pictures of OMC posing with nubile young boys. You're not even worthy of that honor.

(I would liked to have incorporated that into an analogy... I apologize for not trying.)

June 30th? Eh?
(I would liked to have incorporated that into an analogy... I apologize for not trying.)
Like a panda refusing to fuck for the sake of its species prolongment, the Deal war will be held on the 30th despite the objection of faggot pandas everywhere.

~fuck......that's a simile~

I probably will be bringing Titan kid and as many of my of my friends as I can.
Titan kid and I went to ECNO so we have some experience but my friends will be sort of cluless unless we get in a couple of wars in before the 30th.

Robbie, its an invite only war. So, we'd firstly need an invite, and secondly, not bring a million people, only the dedicated ones. After missing LCM, I would like to come along with z80's bunch. That is, only if we get organized in time.
PS, as z80 posted, the thirtieth is best for us.

Thats fine, I just wanna clarify who we are, I don't want people thinking we are some young kids wanting to play with the big boys.
We are not saying that we think that chalywong, just that you need to have at least a couple of wars under your belt to come to this one, its more about war experience and our knowledge of you as a player, not so much a question of age.

Ok, I'm done with analogies. With the LCM Tune Up War finished we're now ready to start planning the Deal War in earnest. Let's start with a bit of backstory:
Nerf Wars at Deal Park hosted by the Horsemen are typically Invitational Events. We don't do this to be obnoxious cocks, or to separate the 1337 from the n00b. We do it to help create the best possible Nerf War for the people attending. Vacc and I realize that some people spend a lot of time, money, and effort to make it to these events and we feel obligated to make it as all around enjoyable, competitive, and memorable event as possible. The LCM Tune Up was alot of fun, I had a great time, but I think it also highlighted some of the downfalls of having too many people at a particular war. Players who are eliminated early must wait a long time for the next round to start, it's difficult to avoid matches from turning into either standoffs or zergs, and sometimes you can't even keep track of who's on your team ::GLARES AT KENJIN:: For all these reasons and more we like to tightly control the number of players attending our events. For this particular outing we've decided that 22 is the magic number.
Now that we've established that Deal is By Invitation and that we'd like to have 22 Nerfers on the field. Now let's talk who we've reserved slots for so far.
Horsemen (8) - Believe it or not, at our peak The Horsemen and our Acolytes were comprised of 16 active Nerfers. We can still muster about half that and we'll be damn sure to bring them all for our own war.
LCM (8) - Our long time rivals, we've watched these kids grow from clueless pre-pubescent snots with blow guns to solid post-pubescent (I suppose) Nerfers with guns that blow. We expect their showing to at least match our own. Shindig, I'm hoping you can keep in touch with your crew and let me know who's definitely In, Out, or on the fence.
OMC (3) - We're reserving three slots for the One Man Clan. A small universe just collapsed inside my skull. I'm assuming these will be filled by THE OMC himself, Dark Shrimp, and hopefully Tennessee.
Misc (3) - Throughout the LCM Tune Up friendships were forged, promises made, and sexual favors exchanged. This has resulted in invitations being extended to GROOVE, TAILBONE, and LEFTNUT.
Now, if you're not in the list above don't despair. It doesn't mean we don't like you or don't think you're a good nerfer or any of that bullshit. These are just the people that promises have already been made to. I fully expect at least a few people to decline and there are very few of you that Vacc and I would not want to see at this war. Here's your deal (pun intended):
If you have Nerfed with either Vacc or myself before, are interested in attending, know that you can be available on June 30th, and are pretty sure that I don't despise you, send me a Private Message. As the day gets closer and people cancel we'll post updated Invite lists to make sure no wanted spot goes unfilled.
Now I know you're all asking yourself the same question: "Famine, you heartless prick. What the fuck about Rambo? The kid was willing to drink that slimy cooler shit for an invitation!" ENOUGH ALREADY!! Your laments have been heard and so a Special Invitation is being extended to our very own Ephialtes. RAMBO, because of your medical status and the unique conditions of a Deal war I can't promise that you'll get to play every round. I suggest you pack your guns, a camera, and just look forward to having a good time. I promise you'll get at least a few matches in but I suspect that when the day comes you'll be thankful that you're not in every round. Am I not merciful? GIMP SPECIAL - If anyone else who is interested in coming would be willing to sit out a few rounds to take pictures or shoot film let me know. By alternating photographers every other round it allows us to invite more people AND get more pictures of Howard!
So in closing, this was a really long post. I hope you understand our reasons behind making this by Invite Only and I really hope you believe me when I say that we're doing it for benevolent reasons.

CS13, here at Nerfhaven we make it a habit to read at least a large part of the threads in which we post. Out of the three posts of yours that I have read, two of them demonstrate that you are not of that same persuasion. One of them was in a topic which you started. It also made no sense.
While your use of grammar is noteworthy compared to others like yourself, the content of your posts thus far has not done much to make the rest of us want you to feel welcome at the Haven. There should be a link at the top left of each site that says Code Of Conduct. That's a good thing to read and will help your stay here at the Haven be a long and enjoyable one.
I'm happy to be the one to welcome you to Nerfhaven, but sad that said welcome must be done with a note of correction in it.
In closing, and in slightly coarser terms:
Read the damn thread before you post.
Welcome to the Haven. I hope to see you here for a long time.
