I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets picked on, who else is getting sick and tired of it. Now I'm at the end of Gr.9 I've dealt with this shit for years and luckily my grade is not doing it as much because we're getting older more mature etc. but my sister and cousin are in the 7th grade and are getting picked on by classmates but when I stick up for them the bastards start making fun of me! I mean yeah everyone get's called names but nobody should have rocks and even bicycle locks thrown at them especially if the throwers' are half your size and age. Whenever I even make a fist the nearest teacher comes over and starts yelling at me about setting an example I explain the situation and they say that the guys are younger and don''t know any better well for fuck's sake their twelve or thirteen years old they keep doin this and in 3 years they'll be in jail what the fuck is wrong with this world why can't we all just get along. Does anybody have suggestions other than going to the administration which is obviously blind (I talked to the Vice Principle and Principle and all they could say was people get picked on sometimes jeesh someone should push them down a flight of stairs)? Please Reply.

I don't get bullied but if your a tough strong kid, just fight them. If not then just ignore them. If they really start to screw with you then maybe tell someone or do something to make them feel bad about bullying a kid.

I know I'd feel bad if I was seriusly bullying a kid.

edit- Wait your getting bullied by younger kids? Now that is just when you beat them up.

I'm in my junior year of high school so Ive had my share of bullies my best advice is just to ignore them because the entire point of them doing that is to bother you.
If you get hit in the face with a rock don't even look at them because thats what they want just go about your business as if they weren't there with a little blood coming out.
They want attention because they probably don't get enough at home, don't give it to them no matter what.
Eventually they will move onto someone else because you are no fun to pick on if you act like they don't exist.
Thats what Ive always done, although hard sometimes it does work.
And yes I have let them peg me in the face with a rock so I know from experience, 5 stitches next to the eye experience but I didn't give them what they wanted and for the next week I didn't even see them.
And if its verbal abuse like taking about "your mom" I usually agreed with them and said "my mom is a dirty rotten whore I know" or "you know you still ow her $10 from last night" and laughed about it, it left them very confused.
They are only words they don't mean anything really.
Hope this helped.

^Posted before nerfer34^

To add onto what he said I think you should only fight the person if they are physically touching you or blocking your path purposely or something like that.
You shouldn't just run after them and pound the shit out of them.
For the younger kids it would look really bad if you would hurt them so I would suggest maybe pushing them down or somehow incapacitating them without hurting them too much (no blood, KOs, scrapes, bruises or broken bones those usually look bad) or making them cry.
Then walk away just make sure they don't get up and jump on your back if they do just get them on the ground again and walk away.

Ya know, the fact that the PRINCIPAL doesn't care is a bunch of bullshit. That's one sucky principal. I get the shit picked out of me at school to, but all I do is ignore it, it's really getting to me though. You could talk to your parents, they would be able mabye do something. Give talking to your parents a try. My opinion on beating people up, I would only do it if the person physically harms you. If they do that, beat the crap out of them if you can, yes you'll get in trouble, but they hurt you so your actions were justified. Talk to your parents about the fighting thing though, because all parents have diffirent opinions on that subject.

Then again, there's always singled Titans and darts with thumbtack points stick out of them...

Just ignore them. It's really not worth your time to let them bother you. If you fight them and win, you look like a bully. If you fight them and lose, you're pathetic. Just help your brother up if they attack him, and leave. Fighting doesn't fix anything.

Walk away from trouble. Always.

If it follows you, run away from trouble. No shame in keeping your name clean.

If it still doesn't stop following you, and you are as tough as you claim to be, run into an alley or a dark corner.

And make those people sorry that they were so persistent.

I know. I was 5 feet 2 and 119 lbs. as a sophomore in high school. I got picked on.

By the end of my graduation year, I was 5' 5" and 160 lbs. And no one picked on me after that, even to today.

That's the trouble with schools nowadays. They're so touchy-feely about self-esteem and all that crap.

When I was in grade school, when you acted up, you got the ruler or yardstick from the teacher. Hand, head, backside, you got it.

When notice got home that you acted like a jackass in class, you got a lickin' from your parents at home, too, for shaming the family name. And the parents would THANK the teacher for not takin' any crap from their kid.

Today, it's a police report, sue job, and therapy to soothe the kid's wounded self-esteem, despite the fact that he or she disrupted a whole class and brought everyones IQ down a few points. And the teacher would be fired, if not shot or stabbed by some psycho kid who plays too many video games.

What's gotten into society nowadays. Give schools back the paddle.

Well as far as my advice goes, i really don't have many bullies. I have a great group of friends and since we are always almost together no one ever picks on any of us. I guess bullies fear the masses, so my suggestion is to have your younger sibling stay around a lot of their friends whenever the so called bully comes around. The other option is to completely avoid them at all costs. I avoided my one and only bully for almost three years it was sophomore year in high school when i met up with him again. He didn't even really remember me. I really hope you find some good advice. Don't do anything stupid or anything that will get you in major trouble, its not worth it!

I think I know who those two conscience-representing angels are now...

You have three options:
1) Ignore them
2) "Anonymously" inform the proper authorities, and if you get no help go to the police or threaten a lawsuit
3) Straight up lay 'em out

Whatever you do, don't embarrass yourself by letting it continue.

I've been through bullying time when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. I would always get refurrals(like lunch detention) But before that, we'd take it down to the "lower Field" and handle it there. You should just ignore them, as the other members said before, and they will, eventually, leave you alone. Somethimes fighting is the only way to make em' stop. I should know, considering I got suspended for it.

My advice is not to ignore them. When you do it builds up, and it gets to a point where you cannot take it and you do something you will really regret. If you have to just scare them a little push them up against a wall or a jab to the stomach to let them know you've had enough.

I'm usually against violence...

but it will really just take one good hit to send the message.

I've never hit someone with the intention of causing pain, but then again, nobody really wants to be on the receiving end. I'm guessing these "bullies" have never taken a hit before.

By far I would say I agree with Piney, especially because I'm in the same boat, just a little chunkier. All you gotta is a threat here a threat there. If it still continues then go back to the principal and threaten them with a) a lawsuit for not providing children with a safe healthy environment see sue-jobs work in your favor also. :o wait till the bully rears it's ugly head and then beat the living snot out of him and tell the masses that have gathered that he was the example and if they don't any trouble to leave you, your family alone or else there next. I have had ample experience in this matter making an example is the best way to go.

You never, ever run away from your troubles, who ever got that stuck in your head is either A, an angel and thinks that everything should be dealt peacefully, even though it doesn't work, or B, a wuss. I'm 6' 2" 260 pounds and I have been bullied, the only way your ever going to make them stop is to scare them, plain and simple, you run away your, going to be bullied even more, I can't say that I've never bullied anyone, but I've never physically attacked anyone without a good and truthful reason. The only way your going to get these kids off your back is to either get a lot of people you know go there and absolutly scare the crap out of them, or to do something big enough that your going to scare the little bastards, you do something Illeagal like hitting them thats your choice, but if you see one of those mother f**** touch you or your cousins/sisters whatever, you knock them out, it's perfectly fine to stand up for the people you care for, when someone thinks there little miss badass you teach them a lesson.

I think that Skitzo's advice is a good path to follow. Unless you ,or your relatives are in the direct path of serious physical harm, that you did not initiate, DO NOT HIT THEM. I have a red belt in Tae kwon do, but have never had to hit some one hard while in school(even though the occasional warning shot is necessary). Almost all problems have non-violent solutions. Just use your best judgment, and think about it before you do anything.

I’m not really a fan of violence either, but I had to punch a kid because he wouldn’t stop. I’m really weak but I'm really short and heavy, and no one thought I could knock a kid down with my bare hands, What I'm trying to say is: protect yourself, I gained a lot of respect that day. But, there is the other path that I occasionally take, using brain over brawn, but hey fallow your own path.

Shit happens. If the bullying isn't physical, ignore it. Best advice. It may be satisfying to contemplate "laying them out," but it's not worth it.

If it is physical, there's a good chance that any retaliation to issue will get YOU in trouble, and not the bully - that's the way things are, usually.

It will stop. The middle grades suck. You just have to wait it out.

If you want to feel like you're doing something about it, take martial arts. Not so you can beat up the bullies, mind you, but after a year or so you won't be bothered because you'll know you could if you wanted to.

That is what I did.

Specific advice - if they're throwing actual objects (like locks, as you mentioned, as opposed to rocks [or pencils, pens, etc]), pocket the objects and walk away. I speak from experience here, too - when people see their stuff in your pockets and you leaving, they're suddenly not so eager to chuck it at you.

I've been in this situation. The answer depends greatly on the circumstances.

When I was in elementary school, I was a serious bully magnet, mostly on the bus. I know that my parents complained to the school, but the school could hardly put teachers on every bus to supervise, and the buliies' parents would never believe that their little angels were at fault. So one day, I got sick of being shoved around and shoved back. Shoves turned to punches and kicks and we soon had a full-fledged third-grade bus fight. Unfortunately, I got my ass kicked (there were three of them), but that didn't matter; I inflicted enough pain on them that they left me alone.

Years later, I was in middle school. Different area and different kids, but I was still a nerd and bullies are everywhere. I was in gym class and there was a line for something – vaulting, I think – so there was a small group of assholes with nothing to do and one nerd ahead of them. It started with insults and progressed to shoving and shin kicks. I suddenly lost it and punched one of them in the nose. They just stared at me for a second, partially from shock and partially because I gave the guy a nosebleed. Then the one I hit went to the gym teacher. Fortunately, the teacher didn't do anything, possibly because he knew the kid and wasn't an idiot or more likely because he didn't give a shit. The next day, the bully started an altercation in the hallway, but he unfortunately chose a time when I had my flute* in its hard plastic case. After that, they mostly decided that I was willing to take it more seriously than they were.

*This may have been part of the reason for the bullying. ^_^

High school is different. Ninth-graders can really hurt each other by fighting, and the disciplinary consequences can be a lot more severe (police instead of detention). On the other hand, many teachers and administrators either don't care or think that it's the student's problem. Ignoring bullies makes some of them go away but not others. I can't really give you an answer; I hope that sharing my experiences help.

Well since they are younger than you then they are proboly scared of you more than you are scared of them so act tough and they will give up. And if they don't just join a sport get strong and kick their butts.

Lets see...

If it is like with headlocks...

When a certain bastard that is taller than me, stronger than me, and weighs more than me puts me into a headlock, I jerk to one side and ram him in the stomach with my elbow. Then, if he doesn't go down, but lets go, I knock him on his ass while he is holding his stomach.

But if is is a fist fight, try as hard as you can to get him on the ground. Use your forearm to make the back of his knee collapse. After he is on the ground, kick him in the balls, the gut, anywhere you can that will not inflict fatal injury, but will have a stunning effect.

I get bullied A LOT, and let me tell you, being a freshmen is not easy.

Just do what the redneck dude did at the beginning of the fast and the furious tokyo drift, if you get in a fight outside of school... KICK ASS WITH A WRENCH! Hehe, I carry one in my car for.... When I get into trouble. Hey, its legal!

One hit to the stomach, and the guy on the receiving end is toast.

If all else fails, you could just ignore 'em...

might actually put it to some use >_<

but keep in mind.. im not reccomending this as the proper course of action, just the more mischeivious one.
