Just starting modding my crossfire. So far i took out the air restrictors and as soon as i get the parts (probably by wenesday) im going to add a brass barrel and a new spring. Wondering if anyone has any advice or other ideas. Plus I tried to paint it, but that didn't work out well. Any ideas on what kind of paint I should use: brush or spray?

Thanks

Look under the crossfire section. There are SIX mods listed.

There is also a thread on painting your guns:

There are a billion threads about painting...

please use the SEARCH function in the future prior to posting. Thanks.

Use Krylon Fusion spray paint for painting any plastic. No primer needed.

Problem: He says he already tried to paint it. Both vinyl dye and krylon fusion need a clean surface... so he will have to fully remove the paint first.

Do you use taggers or stephans, taggers fire better in cpvc than stephans, in my experience anyways.

It depends on how your OWN Stefans fit in the CPVC. Generally FBR is thicker than the foam used in taggers but I've had some really thin stuff that was almost a sliding fit in CPVC.

Correct... clean, not unpainted. As long as the underlayer holds decent the above layer should hold fine, although it wouldn't hurt to take some paint thinner and remove the shoddy job he already did beforehand.

Yeah the first paint job was a bust. I sanded it down as best I could and repainted with the vinyl paint. It looks better but it kinda feels odd. Also, I just added a new spring. Its shooting farther, but only by 5-10 feet more. And to answer your question, for the most part im using the stock darts that it came with. But i do have a few stephans lying around and they shoot much farther than the stocks do.
