I was looking to replace the toy pressure gauge on my TItan with a real one, but I'm not sure what pressure the tank reaches. I've heard that homemade air tanks often reach 60 psi; is this a reasonable upper limit for how strong of a gauge I need?

I don't remember what gun it was but I think I heard 90psi being the very highest a nerf gun can handle. I think it was the magstrike but I'm not sure.

Thanks; a 100-psi gauge would do it, then.

I'm fairly sure its a lot lower, no higher than 60 psi would be my guess. Captain Slug would know for sure.

Then I shall await his arrival before buying one.

Once my mcmaster order arrives I can tell you precisely what pressure level the Titan reaches without having the pump plugged. I add a tank input to mine and plan to test the operating pressure to determine where I should set my regulator before hooking the gun up to my newest tank.

But barring that you're never going to need to measure pressure levels higher than 100psi when it comes to nerf because the internals of even the most robust pneumatic weapons are not designed to survive pressure levels higher than 90psi.
And even the most powerful hand operated air/bike pumps will be unable to output pressure levels higher than 65-70 psi

To be honest I remember hearing somewhere that the Titans air tank before the pump is plugged is around 35 psi.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Dur, borrowed the pressure gauge off my tank and tested it just now.
The maximum pressure level the pump on the Titan can reach without being plugged is 35psi

If you need help picking out fittings the tubing dimensions inside the Titan are the closest fit to 4mm barbed tube fittings and can be coupled using those without the aid of epoxy or clamps.

Thanks! Are you planning to run tests on a plugged Titan?

Nope. It already shoot 130 feet so I don't really see the point. I don't really care about ranges beyond 40 feet.

My hand operated bike pump can hit over 120psi. It has a gauge right on it as well. It comes in handy when my roadbike tires need 110psi inflation.

I've seen foot pumps that go that high, but not hand operated pumps.
You shouldn't be filling anything made of plastic with pressure levels higher than 100psi.

Oh yeah, I thought you just meant any pump that you pump with your hands. And I completely agree, I'd be scared to shoot something with that much pressure. I mean heck, mythbusters shot pieces of straw into a tree with something like 90 psi, didn't they?

Perfect! Thanks; I guess a 100 psi max will be just right.

Yeah... which is why I made the statement "with the unplugged stock pump". The overpressure valve limits the output of the stock pump to a maximum 35psi.
You could probably fill the Titan up to 80psi or even 90psi before it broke.

Really?
If so, whoops! I have gone to 60 on a not-plugged titan

sorry, That was total shit, I misunderstood. I have gone to 60 with a PLUGGED titan.
again, sorry
