I recently modded my new air tech 2000, and when I try to pump it, it hardly works. I have to pump it fast or the gun won't ever reach its full capacity. When I got this out of the box, it took like 2 pumps to fill it up, now it takes about 5 depending on how fast I do it. I'm guessing it has something to do with me plugging up the holes on the plunger. But last time I checked, that's supposed to make it more air-tight, not loose.

Check valve problem is what it sounds like. Or maybe the o-ring on your pump just came out of place or shrunk and isn't making a proper seal. Check the o-ring first and if it's shot replace it, and if you can't find a problem with the pump shaft itself you'll probably have to completely replace the pump with a new one.
