I haven't done any Nerf in quite a while because I've been busy with my "real" hobby - combat robotics. Check it out here if you're curious: http://www.putfile.com/kbarker/images

Anyway, I put reworked an RF20 turret with PETG barrels a while back, but I didn't use enough epoxy on the base, so they all had leaks and the gun sucked. Then I got the brilliant idea to inject Elmer's with a syringe into the back holes of the turret to seal the leaks, and presto, it shoots almost as good as my Magstrike. I couldn't find anything worthwhile to do inside the gun, so I just hot glued the "rapid fire" switch closed and called it good.

Slick, as usual. Looks like a 70s Sci-Fi movie prop now.
For future PETG barrel modification I would recommend a combination of IPS Weld-on #4 (for structural joints) and loctite waterproof sealant epoxy (a good hot glue substitute).

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Very clean-looking, how many feet of PETG did you use for that? Judging by the pictures, those barrels look to be about 3-4" a piece.

Excellent work.
That is exactly how I keep my rapid fire button pressed down too.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Did you machine the barrel support too or did you buy and then drilled the holes? And if you're looking to do stuff to the inside you could sand down the release valve on the bladder and cover the bladder with 50 of the long balloons for a higher firing pressure.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, nice job! It's as clean as everything else you do.

Clean. Effective. Impressive. The three major points of modding. You amaze us again, KBarker.

I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

I cut and drilled them custom out of .25" polycarbonate. I thought about the release valve mod, but I don't see the point since it gets off all 20 shots anyway. I did do that mod to my Magstrike though. Banding makes me nervous. :P

Banding makes me nervous. :P

And for good reason. RF20s can't take the added stress of banding or innertubing or ballooning or whatever. The tubing either separates from the bladder or bursts, I can't remember which. This happened to at least one RF20 as reported by the first person to document the RF20 innertube mod.

You'd be fine doing a banded bladder on your PC though. One of mine has held up fine with a ton of bands for well over a year and the other for about six months.

Everything I was thinking about the mod has already been said. I really appreciate a nice clean mod, and the RF20 is one of my favorite guns. Beautiful job.

Yeah, it also helps if your nuts are made of steel. Or atleast as hard as steel, to ensure that you can shoot far enough.

Use an external tank, and I'd put that above CS' Magstrikes...for usefulness in a war, not really innovativeness.
