hi, this is my first write-up, and it is for a nitefinder that shoots 65 feet. It's nothing new, but it is very easy to do. First open up the nf(you shouldn't have any problems with that). then unscrew the plunger tube. then take the barrel off. see the two things connecting the barrel to the plunger? Take those out and cut holes through the center of them. After that, take the plunger and unscrew the top. Take the spring and put another nite finder sized spring. Put them onto the tube, screw the thing back together, and your done!

(ranges done with tagger darts)
(sorry about no pictures!!!) <_<

EDIT:srry, the dart BOUNCED 75 ft

Sorry man, but that probably won't cut it around here. No pictures, no specifics, nothing original, and fishy ranges (you might legitimately believe them, but did you measure?) not to mention a gun that now sounds like it'll probably break itself in a few shots all add up to flame-bait. I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to... educate you. Take cover.

P.S. The term 'write-up' might be a little loose in this context.

It's a distinct possibility. But seriously, that's all you could come up with? You are a terrible Troll.

I believe it. I can get 55' flat with mine.

10 feet isn't that out of range.

Go here, for my comment about modification posts without pictures or specific information, especially regarding the Nite Finder.

What kind of spring is it, besides another NF spring? Is it from a Nite Finder? Is it stronger? Weaker?

What kind of holes did you make? Drilled? Cut with an XACTO knife? Or just twisted off?

Reinforce the plunger head screw, maybe? That's a lot of load to put on that plunger, and it places the attachment point at risk of breakage from repeated stress on the threads.

Did you range test indoors or outdoors? Tailwind or no breeze? Did the dart bounce on concrete, blacktop, or on grass? Dead flat or angled up some (I'm surprised how many range testers point up as steep as 20 degrees of trajectory angle before firing)

The more specific you get, the more believable you get. Pics and videos speak volumes, so you'd best submit at least one or the other.

well, I got the spring from chefdave, and apparantly it was a shock spring for rc cars. it seemed stronger, but can't really tell. for the holes, i drilled a little bit then filed until it was clean. i tested it indoors and outdoors, and the ranges were about the same. around 60'-65'. the outside test had a little breeze to it, but it was blowing at me, so it could go farther, but I'm not sure.

btw: i'm trying to get pics up soon
