Since not all of us nerf all the time, how many people here have airsoft guns? Post pics and such here. Let me start it off:

That is a G&P M4a1. Bought it new for $325. Shoots 380 fps with .20s, and I've had hits from as long as 180 feet. It is made out of the same material as Colt M4a1s (hey, gotta have material that I know is durable) and is just pure sex.

This is my friend's Classic Army MG36, soon to be mine after I buy it off of him. It was started from the base of a CA G36 but it slowly turned into this piece of sexiness. Not only can it pick people off from over 200 feet, it can take a 2000 round burst without even showing signs of wear, which would normally do some damage to most airsoft guns.

Now enough of my guns, show me yours!

My friend has a similar M4. Its kinda cheap though. I also have the Variant of the G36C. Mine just doesn't have the 2k drum mag on it. I can't get any pics up right now because all my stuff is over at my friends. We use CYMA as our brand of air soft as we have found it more reliable. In the near future I might but a red dot sight for my G36 any suggestions and any under say 20 dollars. And why don't your guns have the blazed neon orange tips, they're kinda illegal now because they're required to have 'em by federal law.

Huh?

"Not all of us Nerf", you say?

Last time I checked, there were about 4 different types of people on this NERF-oriented hobby forum.

I) Nerfers. All shapes, sizes, and ages (over 13).

II) People genuinely interested in the hobby of Nerf. Airsofters, PBers, gun shooters who are looking for something uniquely different.

III) Lurkers. Some for legitimate reasons, some for the habit of lurking semi-anonymously (since we can figure out where you're from by your IP addresses).

IV) Trolls and spammers. People who decide to stir up trouble from PBNation, or other paintball or airsoft forums to harass users about how "sissy" and how "nerdy" Nerfing is, as though doing so gives more credit to their own hobbies.

We're accomodating and welcoming to the first three. The fourth we deal with as the situations present themselves.

I'm not assuming anything of your intention to post about Airsoft on the forum designed to promote NERFING, even though it is the Off-Topic section (notice the sub-heading, "Anything unrelated to wargames".) We did that to keep the PBers and airsofters from posting too many topics and use the "Off-Topic" title as their excuse to post excessively about the other two shooting hobbies.

I cannot speak for my colleagues, but I'll let this one run to see who actually does airsoft in addition to the usual Nerfing that most all of us do. I don't airsoft, though I had lots of fun with a modified KSC Glock 18C (metal slide). If I ever got myself an airsoft gun, that'd be it. (I had intended to buy one, but RealLifeā„¢ kept me from dropping down 240 dollars (Hawaii prices) for it.

Son of a stitch, the two guns I deciding between. It was either the TM P90 rds version (they started those again awhile back) or the CA AUG A1 (at the time there was no A2). Nice guns man.

Sorry about starting on the wrong foot by having my first post be about airsoft -_-.

That's funny. The p90 is extremely quite and is an amazing side arm with my aug. The aug is being upgrades so we will so how it performs afterwards.

I know, I love the quietness. But nothing beats having an aluminum piston, really loud and has some good recoil for an AEG.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but there's nothing wrong with airsoft. As long as this is kept as a seperate topic and doesn't turn into a pissing contest, I have no problem with it.

There is nothing wrong with airsoft, but I do think nerf is more intense. I think nerf is actually more painful too.

But this IS a nerf forum and I don't really get why there are so many paintball/airsoft topics. I can undertsand like 1-3 topics on them, just to see what gun everyone has. But there have been Atleast 30 of these topics......

I have a lot of friends who are into airsoft. I like buying the guns, but only for movie props. Also, at one point, paintball was my life, but life changes. Besides, Nerf can be played in the house.

I just bought a AKS-74 style gun by TM. I ended up selling my FAMAS a while ago because I didn't hardcore airsoft anymore and got a great deal on this used TM AKS. I called the guy that was selling it and he said it was used once and that he buys wholesale airsoft so he just tried one of the AKS guns out and ended up not really liking it because it wasn't compatible with his out AK style TMs as far as parts and magazines. He considered it a drop in profit to have to buy a ton of spare magazines and parts aside from the other, more compatible AK style of guns. It was 150 plus shipping for the gun, 2 hi-caps, 2 low-caps, the battery and charger and extras like the sling, glasses, screws...ect. I'll try to get a pic up of it soon. I am considering getting one of those pistol sizes grenade launchers for it though. The AKS has a small, 2.5~3 inch rail on the foregrip and I end up holding the gun just at the magazine or behind the foregrip so I might get one just to get one.

If you think nerf hurts more than airsoft than you've been playing with some pretty lousy guns. With nerf guns, I can shoot myself point blank and not really hurt all that much. If I do the same with my airsoft gun, I will be bleeding and in intense pain. People wear mouth guards since people's teeth have been shot out before while airsofting, not a pretty thing.

Again, I don't want this to become a pissing match. I don't care which guns hurt more. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I've never played airsoft, but I've been bled by a few nerf guns. I had the lens shot out of my glasses with a brassed 2k. I don't want to think what would have happened if I wasn't wearing them.
