Hi all, my first topic, so please don't judge me based on this, as it may get kind of noobish. I am building this already, so the pictures will be up soon.
Basically, I cut the front off of my Maverick, then I did Carrtoon's nite-mav mod and added a crayola barrel and voila! Except I'm having some problems with the trigger, but I should be able to fix those.
Pics, ranges, and a new mod coming soon!
(your opinion of "soon" and "good looking" may vary )

So what you did was make an increadibally hard modification, then singled it, defeating the real reason for performing the mod?

! It wasn't entirely pointless, in that I needed a small sidearm, had a nite-finder, had a maverick that didn't work (I busted it), and I didn't want to mess up even worse with the turret.
Besides, I want to use the turret in another gun, and I hope that will have more of a point in your opinion.

Sure it would work. All you would have to do is take the barrel out, and stick a section of PTEG, CPVC, or any tube directly in.
But the very process, I agree, is kind of pointless. Just stick a heavier spring in the nitefire. It will give you better range, and doesn't require any shell work.

So, let me get this straight:
You put a perfectly good NF into a cut-up maverick shell?
And next time, don't start a topic just to say, "I did ___: but pix are coming later.", but if you do decide to do that, at least do something extraodinary.
