I blame the lack of range on the shorter barrel in that rebel/NF trooper gun.

I think this blaster would be easy to fix, in that respect. You could rip out the plunger/rod assembly, move it back a couple inches, then just add an extension onto the trigger plate. Perhaps use a coupler with a slot in it to to keep the catch-plate in place.

Kinda Like That.

Question: Do the targets here in Sothern-California carry the star wars dart guns? I am going to make a run soon, so please post.

The gun is big enough for a bigger plunger tube. From what I see It looks like it might be big enough for a 3B tube. If not long enough you can always shorten the plunger tube as well to get it to work. Something like Gyrvalcon had in mind, but you wouln't have to move the catch back or extend the trigger. To much work anyways.

I was thinking put the longer plunger tube and bigger spring in there, replace the plunger head with the 3B one, and cut the plunger rob up to size some. Cut it at the catch notch, screw the plunger head on with a self forming screw, cut the part that looks like a NF plunger rob off or where it attaches and put the part of the rod that you cut out there.

I have a few ideas for this gun. How much does it run retail again?

I'll get a little diagram up.

$20.00 at target. I live on the east coast so i can't vouch for the any other targets but you can always get them off line if you can't find them in stores.

Ya know this would take some effort and take a bit away from the look of the gun but why not somehow change the gun to a bolt action by sort of converting joeyaglr444's mod: http://nerfhaven.com...showtopic=5388 and adapting it to these.

Also just put in a PVC breech mod and then you have a better ROF as well as better range. Though all you have to do to keep the PVC out of sight would be to refit the pump farther back.

Would it be possible to increase the pull length and replace the air chamber with a larger one? Adding a longer barrel would not be difficult. Add a heavy-duty spring and it looks, from the amount of space inside, that this could be an amazingly powerful gun, surpassing even the NF.

Yes, yes, and yes.

This may be premature (given that the mod isn't up), but I'd add some reinforcement to that plunger! That is not good bending.

It is reinforced, and that was with the rubber bands not adjusted. We adjusted them so it doesn't pull it up anymore.
