Actually, I might be going to Armageddon as well.

It's not 100% set yet, but it's a possibility. And, not to be an asshole or anything, but I'd pick 'geddon over an Ohio war (sorry fellow Buckeyes.)

I'm still rooting for the 23rd, or even the 30th of June.

Alright, lets set the war for the 30th of June as the primary date. If we can't get enough people or problems arise then we'll move it to the 28th of July.

As of right now then,

WHAT: Cleveland Area Nerf Out (CANO)
WHEN: June 30th

Start time and place of war to be determined once it stops snowing and fields can be rescouted.

Please post availability based upon June 30th date.

I suppose this sets PANO on the 23rd, then. I should be able to make this date, and bring at least one or two with me. A few of my friends are unavailable this summer (Iraq, staying on campus), but I can usually get some other people.

PANO on the 23rd and CANO on the 30th works just fine for me.

Anyone have any good locations for a war? I have a few that I can take pictures of soon once the weather warms up. Most of them would be in the Brooklyn, Ohio area...which is a very close suburb to Cleveland.

Brooklyn locations? I'm interested in what you had in mind, Diablo. If not for CANO purposes, then for general weekly nerf purposes.

Yea, once it stops raining/snowing long enough for me to take a decent drive I'll throw up pics for a few places that could work. We could always use the spot for the failed CANO last year. Kurtz park could work nicely, depending on T-ball/baseball schedules for the day.

Assuming we don't get hit with snow again (which we might today), I have some time off this week from work. Time to do some scouting.

Hopefully during the week I can do some scouting myself, once I get off work (I've been working since Thursday, dont have a free day til Tuesday)

Scouting update: Lack of decent weather and/or work schedule have left me unable to scout. Should be doing some preliminary scouting tomorrow (4/29). I have a few locations in mind, notably Kurtz Park in Parma, and State Road Park. Need to feel these places out for size constraints.

Will update soon. Diablo, any ideas?

I believe I've found our war location.

Yahoo Maps: State Road Park (It's the wooded area next to the lake)

Veteran's Memorial/State Road Park in Parma, OH (about 15-20 minutes from Freeway exits) will make a perfect place for the war. The park is primarily a city baseball/t-ball games, but has a small playground and a small man-made lake. The real playing area is in the woods, however.

There is a large section of woods right next to the lake. Inside are two high ground clearings, and a low ground clearing, each of which is large enough to hold 8+ warring individuals. These three areas are connected by a few smaller clearings, and many well traveled paths.

There are restrooms and concession stands nearby, and since this war will be a Saturday in June, they will be unlocked and available for use. We shouldn't have to contend with anyone in the woods. There is also a large pavilion with a grill that we could secure if we get up there early enough.

Local restaurants and fast food places are within driving distance. All in all, a great place.

Pics should be posted by Wednesday, as I forgot to bring my camera with me today.

I'll be coming, possibly with at least one friend. Yeah, that was specific, sorry. I don't know if my main nerfing friend will be in Vegas that weekend, and I haven't talked to anyone else about it yet.
