Has anybody ever had a Lord of the rings war. You use either the BBB the Two Towers croosbow or return of the king crossbow. Swords, or that old nerf bow that looks like somewhat of a real bow? And that's all you use? I think that'd be neat and love to hear some stories if you have.

Considering you just made this up, I don't think anybody else has heard of it.

I prefer Nerf.

Technically it would still all be Nerf guns of what I listed.
With the exceptions of the swords.....

Shit, my apologies. I read your post too quickly and thought you said "has anyone ever heard of an LOTR war," not had one.

It could be fun, but one of the great things I love about Nerf is the diversity of the weapons. If you used all bowlike weapons and swords it would take some of that away. It seems more like LARP than Nerf to me.

Agreed. There's really no purpose to having only bow weapons, and swords are difficult to implement correctly, in a way that's fair and balanced.

It could be fun to have something like a 'period' LARP nerf fight, but just a bow fight is a bit strange.

Not to mention the power of the BBB means that they HURT in close quarters, and close quarters is exactly where you'll be with swords.

It'd be REALLY hard to have a balanced fun game. Maybe make scenario games, based off scenes of the movie or something.

Hang on, we keep making fun of swords and stuff; wasn't there origionally a nerf sword? It had a blue handle and yellow blade and you stabbed little flippy things in the hand guard? I'm positive that you won't find one in any kind of useable condition any more, but I think they had them back in the day.

Yeah, I've seen Nerf Fencing on eBay. Nerf made a lot of random stuff... Anyone remember Nerf Air Hockey? It could fit onto a regular table. I don't recall it working beautifully, unfortunately.

Yes...it would be sorta wierd. Plus I don't know what kind of range the original bow gets.....could be horrible.

The original bow (in my experience, I shot an old, used one) gets around 30-40' with minimal accuracy, due to the stress it puts on the rist to keep it vertically stable-letting go of the plunger causes the aim to swing down by 30 degrees.

I have no idea what a LARP war is, but I'll look it up.
