Take off the funnel and make a shell for it (cardboard wouldn't fire out of an airgun that well) and it would work.

Make a sabot for the grenade, or at least a wad to put in behind it (like in a shotgun shell), put the thing inside a coffee can (hollowed out), or some PVC, and stick it to a Titan. Boom. Instant RPG.

So how will this funnel-like thing shown in your 2 second paint drawing attach to the grenade?

Oh forgot to mention that. The stefan wrapped around the pencil acts as the pin dart and for sizes above the #5 the other pin darts are just tape/glue onto that middle stefan as in the writeup.

I made the "funnel" and attached it to the # 76 I but I cant seem to make the darts come out that easily probably because I can throw it very high in my house and I don't really want to pick up 76 darts after it deploys.
But when I do get this thing to work and use it in a war I could take out like 3 people at once in theory.

The funnel also makes throwing even more awkward and I think the funnel will make the grenade go upside down because of air resistance and maybe spin like a Nerf football then splat on the ground with no deploy.

Instant RPG.

RPG stands for Rocket Propelled Grenade and since there are no rockets on this grenade it would be more like a grenade launcher, just wanted to clarify that. ;)

I can just SEE someone moding a titan to launch these up in the air. Just a matter of time.

I know what RPG stands for. The term was used to describe a translation from live ordinance to nerfing applications. I used the term because the loading and firing systems would be more like the muzzle-loading RPG system than the conventional bazooka system.

Would a douchenator work if the firing end was made larger? It was designed for water balloons but I think it might work in this case, since it is about 3", if you made a 2.5" grenade, and put electrical tape around it, putting it in parachute first, it should work.

Id have to make one of these "douchenators" to find out but it looks pretty promising.

I've also made another form of this grenade where the darts can be arranged more randomly and it is more reliable.
I just wrapped card board around 39 darts.
But instead of making it 1 inch wide I made it about the width of 2 darts standing on top of each other.
So now I could fit about 80 darts in this cardboard cylinder.
All this cylinder is held together by is some sort of quick release mechanism that the parachute pulls up on and the cardboard separates from the darts pushing against the walls.
I used tape but it looses its stick after a while so I'm going to try using velcro.

Also has anyone made one of of my Skitzo Grenades yet?

The parachute would actually make one of my old grenade designs work really well. The plan was to propel the darts outward using rubber bands and have a sheet be pulled/slid to release the darts in all directions.

Hmmm. Time to revise an old design. I'm going to try to make a prototype out of a CD-R spindle.

CaptainSlug, that looks like something I'd find in the breech of a Howitzer(sp?).

That design looks good, but how easy would it be to make without a mill and all that fun stuff that you have access to?

I'm hoping to make it out of a CD-R spindle. I don't have one the right size on hand right now though.
I'll start a new thread once I have some success with it.

I used my old stefans that were 2.5 inches long but I'm sure you can used smaller ones. I'll make more shorter stefans and give it a try.
