I've modded my LS as per Carrtoon's mod, and it works well, but there are a few problems.

1. The clip goes in hard. I have to slam it into the receiver and I don't want to break my clips.
2. The bolt won't pull back after firing unless the magazine is pushed as far forward as it can be in the magazine well.

Other than that, it's working fine. ~50 foot range and good accuracy with a CDTS.

Any help?

I believe somebody else had that exact same problem. Check to see if the plunger head is on right. It can only go on one way, otherwise it will be a couple millimeters too far forward, enough to cause those problems. Just turn it and see which way fits on the furthest.

First off I would recommend ditching the jam door from the top of the gun when you are in the midst of modifying the gun. It allows you to visually inspect the inner workings of the gun after you can modified it. It's purely a cosmetic part that I recommend doing without until you are completely sure everything inside the gun is working as it should.

1. The clip goes in hard. I have to slam it into the receiver and I don't want to break my clips.
2. The bolt won't pull back after firing unless the magazine is pushed as far forward as it can be in the magazine well.

1. Cut the rear corner off of the lip of the magazine as shown on the left.

2. The bolt-lock is what keeps the bolt from being pulled back. You may have that installed incorrectly, or your plunger head is on backwards.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

I don't think I have the bolt lock in the gun. I think it's one of the pieces that I left out because I didn't know what it was. Does it need a spring?

Does it need a spring?

Yes. And if you installed it without one then that's your problem.

Not having the bolt-lock (and it's spring) installed in the gun would allow you to pull the bolt sled back from the forward position while the plunger is primed.
