at3k mod

He used crayola markers instead of petg. I think you can use cpvc instead of petg but just try it and if it doesn't work try something else.

I only ask because I'm thinking of trying these and it would suck if the balls got all covered with hairs after a while.

CPVC'ing an At3k is tough, unless you completely saw off the barrel stubs. I however don't like doing it because something is bound to screw up then you have permanently crooked barrels. Carrtoon actually did this once though, he didn't saw down the barrels, but drilled through the back of them to remove the restrictors then lathed down the cpvc so it would fit in the stock barrels. He explained this to me in a pm, let me know and I will forward it to you if I still have it.

Unless your darts are extremely thin, I wouldn't suggest using CPVC for a barrel on the AT3K. You don't want a tight fit for air guns, and your ranges will most likely suffer from that tight fit.

Really?
I didn't know that hanks for the head up. I heard that pvc shc 80 is good. But when i tested them out while I was a Lowe's, they just slid right through.

Yeah, the sch. 80 PVC is really loose, probably too loose. I modded an AT3K for a friend using 9/16 brass. It works really well with Angels red foam. It can slide fairly easy, but it's not so loose that the darts can slide out of the barrel. I shot some CDT's with it, and it shot fairly well, even though they were real loose, probably going around 60-70', I never measured it, but that's just a guess judging on what it did to cardboard and how fast it shot down my hallway.

I recently modded a supersoaker, making it shoot darts. With a 12" 9/16 brass barrel with ~2-3" of 17/32 nested in the back held to the gun, the same barrel I use for my Pump Shotgun. (I didn't have a coupler on it, so I had to just hold the barrel on.) It shot straight through my coardboard box and hit the wall about 10 ft. behind it with quite a bit of power. I did the same test, but with a ~6" CPVC barrel, and it only shot through one side of the box.

Ok, I just found about a foot of PETG in my room. But i Have to cut 6 pieces, so this means that each barrel will be 2 inches long. Is that good or no?

Just like what aribiter said, your going to want about 6" barrels.

How thin is the fbr you use? I wouldn't be able to ramrod a dart down CPVC because the fit is too tight. CPVC will work, you just need to have thinner darts for it. But I can guarantee a looser fit for air guns is better.

My darts can just fit and not move arounf with out and friction in my kind of pvc

How tight are they? Would they require twisting or some force to get them down the barrel?

I would not suggest singling it. I like the AT3K because it's got good range with decent RoF. And you can't really do anything with the left over turret because it wasn't a manual rotate. I would keep it turreted.

Oh damn. Too late. But next time( if ever) I find an AT3K, I'll remember to keep it turreted.

The ideal barrel length for a singled AT3K with four pumps is around 18", you may get better results with a longer barrel. My AT3K is singled and I like it fine, the reduced rate of fire isn't that big a deal if you carry a sidearm and it significantly outranges an AT2K in my experience.
