I am in the process of rebuilding my arsenal due to my not-so-amazing modding skills. I'm starting with a cheaper gun, so if I break it's not a big deal, unlike my 80$ worth of 3 gun trash in the basement. Should I go with an AT3K or a clip modded NF?

NiteFinder would be a simpler mod, but I'd rather have a well modded AT3K than just a NiteFinder.

Well, if you aren't good at modding and you want to make a clip NF... I'd go for the at3k. Get the two pack so that you can just use the other one if you mess up and they cost around the same as NF's. I also prefer a good at3k more than an NF.

I'd say get yourself a couple nitefinders. They're dirt cheap, really simple inside, and really sturdy -- you'd be hard-pressed to mess one up. Experiment with different modifications on different NFs - different barrel types, banding, cutting down, clips, etc -- that way, you get lots of different experience, and if you mess up, well, that's the end of a $5-6 gun. No big deal.

And when you're done, either you've learned a lot and are ready to try again, or you've learned a lot, have a bunch of really cool pistols, and are ready to move on to more expensive, complicated, guns and modifications.

There are some AT3K Twin Packs on EBay right now. They usually go for about $19.99 and around $6.00 shipping. It will come to about $13.00 a gun. You can also check the trading section. There are usually some pretty good deals from other members selling off their arsenals as well.

People here were saying they were sold in stores still. Though not the big chain stores. Like, dollar general stores.
