The Lawn Chair Mafia is interested in holding a war this Spring. No names or anything, nothing annual. Just a war for fun to keep us all content until August's Apoc. Everyone is invited, the Horsemen, LGLF, Hersh, everyone. You name it, you're invited. If you can come, please do.

I'd like to use this as a planning thread so we can figure out what date would be best and find out when we could get the biggest turnout. Not to mention who can come and what they can bring. This is going to be all about fun and nothing else. Just like old times for the Horsemen and LCM, except for more people. First order of organizing, for this spring, what would be a good general time for everyone (as in month)?

If all goes as it's supposed to, I should be heading up to the NY/NJ area to visit my uncle during my spring break (April 13-20). He lives in Ceader Park, and GunnedDown said it was relativly close to Hersh, and about half an hour to an hour away from where you guys Nerf. So I guess that'd be when I was available...

Awesome, I figured April would probably be the best time to Nerf for weather reasons (Reckoning was so cold this year) and because so many people will have enough time that they can spare. Should be a lot of fun. Keep in touch Atticus, and we'll see just what we can do come this spring.

O yeah in case he didnt mention. Wave... horseman or not I would really enjoy your presence. So please strive to attend. If there isn't any problems I would like us to not host this war. If im correct we had a nice war at the LGLF battle ground. SO in all intent let us try to move it to there away form the now dule and overly played Millcreek.

I can agree with Jollygreens idea, but I believe that we should still hold it at Millcreek. The LGLF aren't known for there organzational skills., or so Langley says. Would it be on a sunday or a saturday? Saturdays aren't that good in the spring due to baseball games twice a week or so. Sundays are the best beat for me. Hope to see more people there.

I know at least one of the Horsemen, Ash, gets off of work most Sundays. So that might be good. Not to mention our own LCM members will have positively no track meets to worry about, as I believe those are on Saturdays. I'm waiting for a Horsemen to comment on this topic, but they're not too around at the moment.

Okay Famine.

-Has anyone gotten a chance to talk to the LGLF about attending this war? I've heard that the LGLF is actually in better shape than ever, and if that's the truth, then I'm sure they are dying to war.

I think we'll be in good shape in the spring. It'll depend largely on weather or not grades improve for a couple of members, and what Fred's schedule over at Rutgers looks like. As for location, Tindall Park (The LGLF's home field) would be a prime place to nerf in the spring, if anyone is interested in a change of scenery, especially if we're going to have a big turn-out. Tindall is in Middletown in Monmouth county (a few min. from sandy hook and from Red Bank: Home of Jay and Silent Bob) I'll post directions at www.lglf.tk soon if anybody wants them.

Yeah, well the horsemen deffinately need a tune up. We haven't had a good summer of nerfing in a few years now. All we've been doing are these once a season events, and it shows. If we get a schedule like I think we will this summer we'll be better than we ever have been.

LangleyLGLF: its a post on nerfhaven about a spring war in NJ
Fred: cool... propose the name "Toxicity" for the event
Fred: everyone loves "Toxicity"

So what is the general thought on having it in Middletown instead of Pine Beach?

I'm really not too concerned with howard's comment seeing as we beat them while nerfing for the first time since august (which had been the first time in a year for two of us). However, when I said that we were going to nerf more often, I was refering to the horsemen doing what we used to do. Small teams our parks. I'm sure we'll show up for a war or two with the LCM and the LGF and Hersch and whoever, but most of our wars will hopefully be back in our area. Personally, I miss those wars.

Hmm. A shorter drive would be nice. Didn't we have some idea that Gnomefest would be held before APOC, like around this time. Why don't we make this GnomeFest?

If I had eleven flaming monkey slaves it would be a much better world...... the things I could accomplish then..... seriously though. I'm more than humbled by the fact that you want to name your Nerf Wars after me Howard but it's quite all right. Contrary to popular belief I'm not the ONLY Nerfer worth mentioning... I know, I'm as shocked as you are. Now if you INSIST on naming your Nerf Wars after me I'll more than humbly accept this small, small honor but I still think we should just call them Nerf Wars so as to at least maintain the illusion that we value the other showing up for the slaughtering... I mean nerfing. Thank you though Howard.

We called it GnomeFEST when we had a war back in August because we wanted to make fun of the rediculous names you people come up with for nerf wars, not because we felt it really needed a name.

I think between Langley, Famine, and Howard, they undermined the usefulness of a name in this topic alone.
