I said this to Shinny and Kuhlie before, today's weather and the entire day made up for any poor weather we've had previously. Anytime we've been rained out or had a good day spoiled by weather, today we lucked out with the best weather in recent memory. For those that don't know how ridiculous New Jersey weather can be; it was 71, breezy and clear.

I think we all had a great time today and I want to thank everyone for making the trip to Mill Creek to Nerf with us. It was great to see some older and newer faces on the LCM stomping-grounds.

As for some of the more ridiculous events of the day... I would like to nominate DarkShrimp for MVP honors. He got three kills with the Ultimator and one was a headshot! Unbelievable!

Anyway I guess I will keep in the recent tradition of listing my favorite moments of today.

- DarkShrimp getting three kills with the Ultimator. One being a headshot.
- Hersh throwing his Crossbow so high in the air that it cleared the pine trees. Then broke on impact.
- Chris and Rob showing up. They did pretty well for some guys who haven't played enough recently
- The newer guys (Pete, Matt, Tennessee) playing like pros today. You would have thought they were vets.
- Warlock being clutch.
- My Max Shot reappearing! It was lost last Apoc and suddenly returnded today. Thanks to whoever had it and didn't take credit for returning it.
- Badger having an awesome first or second round where he pretty much gave his team the win.
- The beginning of the pistols round. My first four shots were hits and they were all in the first 2 minutes.
- Kuhlie dressed like a guy from the movie "HEAT". Badass. Slightly intimidating.

That was a gay old time, just like we used to have. The weather was a little on the cold side, but we managed. I wielded the pistol for a large portion of the war, forcing me to be mobile beyond belief. Had a few good rolls on the hill areas. Good times.

PS, look for Howie Land on NerfHQ.

Awesome war. I think everybody was playing real well.

Favorite moments:
-Ultimating Mantis in the head!
-Shooting Warlock in the throat
-the 3 and 4 team battles were fun

Best shot of the day goes to Shawn. He hit Kuhlschrank right on the top of the head from 10 feet away after Kuhl got out.

I had an awesome time, the weather definitely made up for anything we've dealt with in the past.

Favorite kill: Hitting Ted right through the branch of a pine tree as he ran parallel to me .

By the way, someone at the war ended up with my Nitefinder and blue flagging tape. If you could let me know who has them, it would be appreciated.

It's been far too long since I've ventured into the nerfing waters. Seeing everyone there brought back some memories from years ago when the LCM was at its prime and there were wars every weekend without fail. I think that I'm gonna get back into the swing of things, because I certainly did enjoy myself for the brief amount of time that I was in attendance. Expect to see me around more often when it comes to East Coast wars!

Seductively Yours,
Howard xoxo

First we have to get the film developed. Maryann was using 35mm film since she does not own the digital body to her SLR camera yet, so first I need to get the money together. She went through close to 11 rolls of film on Saturday! She would have taken a few more pictures if it wasn't for the fact that the battery in the camera died. I need to look into a service I have to get the film done. It may be alot cheaper than most stores.

As for my thoughts on Reckoning. Absolutely great!!! This was the first war I participated in and I had a great time. It took me all week to get my longshot mod done right and it was worth it. Even the darts worked better than I expected. Most memorable moments for me.
  • Dark Shrimp tagging OMC with the Ultimator! Twice! Priceless!!!
  • Dark Shrimp forgetting that a longshot has 6 shots per clip.
  • Learning how much stefans really hurt!
  • Taking out three peple in a row before getting hit myself in the head.
  • Thinking I broke my leg when I fell, but realizing it was my gun firing when it hit the ground.
  • The perfect shot that sneaked by the edge of a tree that Andy was hiding behind to hit him in the elbow.
All of you have showed me what I have been missing by just being a collector. From now on, I will be doing some more modding and showing up at alot more events. I won't be digging into my collection to turn it all into modded guns (Sorry Dark Shrimp. My crossbow will stay in its box and virgin), but anything I have duplicates of will be fair game. I even had a couple ideas bouncing through my head all weekend long of some mods I want to do.

Once I get the pictures developed, they will be online. I will keep you all informed.

I think he made up for it by shooting everyone else, repeatedly, over the course of the day. That's my Teddy Ruxpin, motherfucker.

I would have to say that Reckoning was the best war i have been to yet....granted i have only been to two but still. My favorite moments of this war were:
  • Shooting Badger between the eyes while he was on a killing spree
  • Tapping Tyler when he had no idea i was there
  • Everyone pretty much playing really well
  • Me, Darkshrimp, and Evil taking the team round
  • Shawn losing Tyler from ten feet away after he was already out
  • Evil doing extremely well during the pistol round
  • The Ultimator kills from Darkshrimp were insane

So now I know who got me. I did deserve it though. I kept shooting you every chance I got. Until you nailed me, I was going at it with a pretty good clip. Each shot produced a kill. At least I got my hat trick.
