Most game producers use the word nerf to say that they are being softened or dumbed down. Blizzard uses it to say that certain characters in WOW are going to suck when updated.

And in racing, nerfing is tapping the back of another car with the front of your won to throw them off.

What happened to "clipping"? We used to say "I clipped his tire and he flew over the handlebars."
