Well at first when I was 5 I loved Nerf till about 14. Then I opened my mind and said hey, I can airsoft or paintball which is funner less restricted and socially acceptable. To take this from a more mature standpoint, I would like to speak to him before he gets the axe.

SneakUP, the reason many older people Nerf is because it's just plain fun. I realize I'm not as old as some of the members here, but I can vouch that it gives you a break from the stress of real life. Who doesn't get excited by shooting each other, even if they are foam dart guns? Admit it; if you have indeed had a Nerf war before, you felt some sort of thrill.

For others, it's a hobby. Is it so wrong for someone to be curious as to how these guns work, and what you can do to make them better?

And lastly, even if you do play paintball or airsoft, you can't play them in college dorms. I had a Nerf war at school for the first time this weekend and it was awesome. Even the hardcore paintball enthusiasts have a good time.

I'm not going to retaliate by bashing you. I have no personal issues against you. But being more considerate shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know if it's some kind of rite of passage for an airsofter or paintballer to validate their so-called "manhood" by trolling or throwing crap at a Nerf forum because "it's for faggy nerds", but I can think of a lot more stupid things to do with our spare time....like troll nerd forums like this one.

Most of the mature PBers (primarily Stock Class PBers) have way more class than to try to elevate one hobby over another. If one doesn't like Nerf anymore, they simply move on. I've never met any airsofters except for the ones on this and other Nerf forums, since I'm more interested in actual firearms than replicas, but hey, they enjoy what they do so I live and let live.

I'm hoping that SneakUP isn't intending to attempt to hack this forum board...his threats are now recorded with time and date, and if anything happens to the forum in the near future, investigations of violations of both the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service, and evidence will proceed with the cooperation of Optimum Online. It'll be hard to explain to Mom and Dad why the Internet won't work any more. So please don't try it.
