Oh you all who say you're "cold" need to learn a lesson. Cold doesn't exist, and don't argue because I will prove you wrong. I went for a 40 minute run in shorts last night in 25 degree conditions, so I will be at the war in shorts.

It's cold. I've nerfed twice in snow and I'll tell you this: Darkshrimp didn't lie.

And Forsaken_Angel, I would definately hold off until Spring. The only winter DCNO we held got 7 or 8 attendees. All but Suave where from the DC area. The past few DCNOs we have doubled that number, for a point of reference.

Yea, and frostbite is a figment of our imaginations. 40 minutes of constant activity, big deal. I've run 12 miles in 18 degree weather and wind. Guess what? It was COLD. True, cold may not exist, but an absence of heat takes its place. However the way you say it, standing around at a nerf war is gonna get cold.

I updated the first post to reflect the date, time, and place. I'll be there with my Under Armour. If Rambo wants to be a moron, that's his problem.

For all those who are interested, I will be selling a lot of old guns. The first items on the chopping block will be SM1500s and AT2ks; both new and old editions. There should also be some original NFs. A while back I promised OMC that he would have first stab at them, provided he offered a reasonable price. I plan on keeping that promise. After OMC I will default to people I've slept with (Evil that means you), followed by a pecking order of people who I find least annoying. I'm not really sure what else I have, you'll just have to find out that day.

FH, we can talk more about you attending a war as the weather gets warmer.

Not wearing warm clothes when you have the opportunity to is kind of retarded. I mean it kind of makes you sound ignorant by not wearing warm clothes in a winter war.

Plus when you get shot you are going to bleed like crazy because your skin is going to be Ice cold.

You sound pretty ignorant yourself. My skin is not "Ice cold" when I am outdoors. If I am already warm without long pants/sweat pants, why make myself warmer?

I've also been told by my mother that the boxes of assorted gun parts/cases in my basement must go. I will be bringing them to the war in cardboard boxes. I'll just be selling the boxes as a whole, if there is something you like, it's all yours. I'd probably let these go for like 5 bucks since it's kind of a toss up as to what is in there. No, it's not like you will find the pieces to a working crossbow in there, but you might find some old springs, pump, and bladders in there.

If i recall, the Reckoning that got cancelled wasn't that the weather sucked, which it was freezing rain and slush everywhere, but was also more along the lines of that the park was closed, due to said weather.
If you look at the forecast and decide that you don't want to risk the weather, then don't come. If I was thinking of driving several hours to something that is at the mercy of nature, I would make sure that there was little chance of it being real shitty. Eitherway, don't try and bitch us out for something out of our control.
