Spraying is only a part of the game if you make it a part. My top two favorite weapons are the M3 and the Deagle. After that is the AWP, no spraying here. I realize that a great majority of the community uses full auto weapons, but I've found that with a little practice you can win with single shot guns. Many times I play pistols only while everyone else uses AKs M4s etc.

Don't get me wrong, I play my fair share of DOD:S too, but CS:S is a totally different game.

Taita I too have found the whole DoD community to be nice and friendly I also find that alot more women and older men play the game as well. It's a swell game too. I think 1.6 does take some skill, but spraying is like half the game. It's alot more serious of a game when you play in leagues and sound and strategy are major factors in winning.

In Australia DoD is "dead" but the community that still remains is either dedicated or completely newb. There are at least 4 or 5 girls that are in the major internet clans and plenty of new girls, and yes, plenty of old men.

CS on the other hand is impossible to play on pub without being told to fuckoff simply for saying "hi"...

I have a lot of pro cs friends who introduced me to the game. Some have played for fzer0 etc and all take it way too seriously. There's also a friend of mine who won $6,000 in a DoD and CoD2 comp, so I spose it's not completely dead. But again, you'd have to be a patient guy to play cs in pub.

If you can run F.E.A.R. you should definitely get the multi-player portion for FREE at http://www.joinfear.com/main unless you already have the full version.

It is quite fun online and has a bunch of good game modes.

My computer is currently in the shop (I'm using an alt which doesn't have a good enough graphics card) but I play Call of Duty 2.

I absolutely love my CoD2 name. It took me forever to come up with it, but I simply love it. I will probably also be getting GRAW, possibly Battlefield 2142. If a server comes up, I'll gladly join.


And, just for the record (not a shooter) I have a Guild Wars account. Anyone with a level 20 or so character should be able to make a guild. Name's Echiadon Windscar.

Also, GRAW gets really boring, so I'd suggest trying it for more than 10 minutes before you buy it to see if you like it.
