Both have good ranges, but SF's are a little better, if you're willing to pump to get them. The SF is a bit bigger than the LNL, but it's so easy to holster it still gets points. They both look good, but the LNL looks a little bit cobbled together after modifying it (ie. removing the Slider and all) so point goes to the SF again. Of course, you can't forget it's one shot more over the LnL, which is just as easy to fire as pulling the trigger again.
And, of course, I haven't put a turret on a Lock 'n Load yet, so naturally, I like the Splitfire better.

Also, if its a pistol war, then they wont allow a splitfire based on it has two shots
If you are simply using this gun as a holdout, like most sidearms, then you shouldnt need more than one shot as you will probably not fire that one shot anyway. I have used NiteFinders and LocknLoads as sidearms in the past, and they have a far superior reload time to ANY air gun, simply due to the lack of a pump. As for having two shots, if you hit the guy with your first shot, whats the difference? If you miss, you stay mobile and move around for the few seconds it takes you to jam another dart down the barrel. With any spring gun, be it a LnL, NF, xbow or maxshot, the only slow down in a reload is getting the dart in the barrel. Once the dart is in the barrel, it takes half a second to pull back the handle.(As OMC can attest with my Max Shot)
That being said, its nice to have two shots in a pinch, but in the long run, the reload time and comparable ranges of a springer pistol beat out any air pistol.

Well, if you are using either of these guns as a sidearm, then there is no us for it to have a turret anyway.
That one is part joke part "all too real" Falcon is known to slap an at2k turret onto any (and every) gun. ust look at what it says in his signature. It doesnt matter to him if it is going to be usful or not, he will put one on it purely for the sake of putting one on it.

Who are "they"
The last time I checked there was no standerd set of rules.
A nightfinder with a SSPB attached has two shots, but I have
seen one of those used in every single pistol round that I have ever played.

If I had to choose between one or the other for a sidearm, I'd go with the Lock 'n Load because of most of the reasons already listed, along with the fact that it is the most similar to a Nite Finder, because that is really my final choice when it comes to a sidearm.
And for the record, though I see your point there, elf (lol), I still have yet to put a turret on a gun that didn't benefit from it or remain useful. I just <3 turrets...

Yea, I know of his penchant for such mods, I have been out to Cali and seen him nerf.

I beg to differ, in my travels I have done more than a few pistol wars and the prevailing rule is one shot, one gun.
And "every war you've been to" only qualifies if they all weren't with the same group of people.
