[six-five-two]

I have a longshot and it comes with 12 streamlined darts, 6 for each clip. I think the magazines can hold 7-8 more darts then the regular 6 but when I push down more, it makes a click sound. Is this good or bad and should I have 7-8 darts in the magazine?

You can only fit 6 in the magazine. Anymore and you're smashing the darts or damaging the follower and spring. As well as potentially introducing jamming issues inside the gun.

If you want a "high-capacity" magazine with the capability to hold 13 darts, you should visit Dark Shrimp's post here. You'll have to combine both of your magazines, but it might be worth it.

Edit: Piney has a pinned post at the top of the modification page with about ten different mod links, so you can try whatever you like.

Okay thanks, I would try Dark Shrimp's mod if I had more then 2 clips so I can have 2 big clips.

Also try taping one to the bottom of another one. You just have to flip the clips around to reload.

It gives it that urban militia esque look to the gun.

I agree with OMC thats what i did to mine so I have four clips that I've taped together in pairs. One set goes in the gun and the other pair goes in the stock so I carry 42 darts on my gun. With four clips you can reload fairly quickly and also pick up darts and put them in the empty clips that are exposed.

You could also take two hi-cap clips and tape them end-to-end. If you took the idea Cthulhu had and took one taped set to put in the holder and another to put in the mag well, you would have 52 darts with you. The mags would be long, but you could get the most out of the gun's capacity.

Interesting ideas, but when in the world will you need more than, oh... say, twenty darts? If you're putting out any more than that then I highly suspect you may be using your Longshot rather poorly.

Well... when you are staring down the barrel of Falcon's x-bow it is a very good idea to have alot of ammunition ready.

If you are staring down the barrel of Falcons X-bow you do two things-
1. Check which barrel it is
2. Fire randomly at his foot (trust me, it works)

I wasn't implying that you would be using your LS ineffectively, just that the ammo would last longer and you wouldn't have to scrounge stefans off the ground only to find out that they don't fit right in the gun. Also, you know that all of the ammo is what you need because you probably made it yourself, or you're using the refill stock darts. Either way, I just thought that it would be an idea to try.
