Well, I don't like to ask for help, but I can't figure out my SS2. I got it a while ago, and it had a small leak. So, I decided to lube the sucker up and hope it would make a perfect seal. So, after a couple of days letting it sit, I got the gun and tried pumping it up. Thats when trouble occured. Every time I pumped it up, It wou;d make a burbing noise, and justs let out the air after one pump. I tried to be optimistic about the problem so, I decided to let it sit for two weeks. After waiting for two weeks, it still it made that annoying burb noise after one pump. I tried using a hair dryer to evaporate all the liquids, I even tried to add some more lube. Basically, the point is, should I even bother wasting my time on this gun, or should I toss it into the garbage. I am holding the peice of shit in my hands right now, and just looking at it pisses me off. So, please, help a pissed off Hokie.

Do you mean SS2? If so mine leaks from the barrel and I have no clue how to fix it.

Yea, but mine holds air for one pump, and then it just lets the air out.

Yeah, mine has a similar problem with leaking. When I went through all the old mod threads, I found at least five threads asking about this problem. I dont think any of them had fixes for the valve. MY guess is that debries get in the valve and block just like in the big salvo.

Are you saying that the leak is coming from the pump itself, and not the airtank?

If it is the pump, the check valve is most likely busted. What that means is when air is pumped into the airtank and pressure building, the tank doesn't hold the air because the valve between the pump and the airtank is busted. You can try replacing the pump. At least I'm pretty sure you can on an SS2 if I remember correctly.

If it isn't the pump, then the airtank itself is leaking. That can be fixed with a little bit of plumber's goob.

I hope this helps.

Put it underwater, see where the air comes out. This will help us determine your problem.

If it's coming out of the barrel, try this fix.

Take some WD40, and spray some down the barrel. Pump it up. Do this until it can hold air. This worked for ALL 5 of my blastfire barrels.

And please, no posts saying that WD40 eats rubber. My blastfire still works 4 months after I did this.

Hope this helps.

" But TS, WD40 eats rubber! "

But in all seriousness, don't SS2s use a more rubbery, and probably soluble, substance for their valves than the BF? I'm thinking the BF uses something closer to a hard plastic. If I am wrong, then nevermind, but if I am correct I'd recommend silicone spray or another rubber friendly lube.

Thanks to Ryan I figured out the problem. The stupid pump was broken. I replaced the pump with and At2k pump and it works fine now. Thanks Ryan

No problem. At least you can replace the pump.

On some guns, like a SM750, the pump is attached to the airtank. Therefore you cannot replace it.

A certain someone (not going to say who), sent me some guns like this and the pumps were broken. Oh well. Nothing you can do about that. At least not that I know of.
