I'm working on a homemade. Could someone explain how to install a check valve in pvc?

There isn't much to explain, there is no "installing" a check valve. You go buy one and glue it on. Do you know what a check valve is? A check vavle is a valve that you can buy at many local stores such as menards, the check valve lets air pass through one way and stops it from going out. I think you can use them to have a detachable pump, or other things like connecting it to an air compressor.

I would try a schrader valve instead, they are cheaper and such.

Yeah buy a bicycle valve instead, I tried using a check valve for one of my homemades and it failed..

Yeah I know what a check valve is. I was just wondering how I would go about attaching one. Any suggestions on the type of glue I would use?

Use PVC cement and primer, I don't think there is very much variety to shose from.

So if I want to install one into a pvc endcap I drill a hole then put the check valve in with some pvc primer and cement?

Threaded check valves can be easily installed using the correct male adapter and teflon tape. Non-threaded check valves can be installed in exactly the same way that PVC pipe fittings are: using PVC cement and primer. When installing a check valve, make sure that the arrow points in the direction which the air should stay. Real check valves are far superior to schrader valves; I don't see how they can fail. If you really want to use a schrader valve, add in a redundant check valve to make sure.
