Hi, I am about to buy a first shot or a maxshot, and since I have never had either, I need to know which is better? I mean, Ranges, size, rof, difficulty to operate, and other characteristics. If there are any offers for trading or selling either one, please say.

In war, one death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic...

I know not what WWIII wil be fought with; however, WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones...

Unless you want a pistol that performs under par of a NiteFinder, go with the MaxShot. It is vastly superior in pretty much every category. The First Shot is pretty rough...

You really can't compare the two that much. Sure, they are pretty much the same gun, but one is a pistol, one is a primary. A first shot is a small Max Shot. Both are good, and easily moddable. The RoF is going to be very similar since they cock, fire, and everything the same way. Of course the range on the MS is going to be better than the FS since it is about 2.5 times longer and has a bigger spring. If you have a good reliable Crossbow or even BBB, there really isn't a need for a MS in my mind.

Cost is another factor, but if there's no money issue to consider then I would suggest you go with the Max Shot. Greater range, greater accuracy, and better overall utility than the First Shot. Like LotR said, the First Shot is a glorified sidearm, and not a particularly effective one at that.

Put it this way: I got shot with a heavily modified maxshot and I started to bleed. I also got shot with a heavily modded firstshot and didnt feel anything.

Maxshot has so much power. Almost as much as an At2k.(If not More)

Of course it has greater range and better overall utility. IT'S A RIFLE, not a pistol (which the First Shot is). Bigger spring=better ranges. I don't know about the accuracy bit. You could have just a crooked a barrel on a Max Shot as you could on a First Shot.

I'm sorry for the rant, but I just don't see a fair comparision when saying rang is a factor that should influence your purchase on a rifle vs a pistol.

It just so happens that CXWQ made a modification for both of these guns with ranges and pictures. Here is the Max Shot, and here is the First Shot.
