I know that I have heard about a million people complaining about their valves leaking, especially in Big salvos. I think I made a discovery that will help that little problem.
I am finding that small pieces of plastic dust and shavings are falling into my valves possibly from cutting the original barrels, making it imposible to hold air. Well, I think I found a way to get that unwanted plastic out. For it to work best, you probably will want the casing to stay on your gun because you will be hitting it on a hard surface. What I do to start is hit the barrel/s of your air gun on a hard surface (i used a concrete floor), so that most of the plastic comes out of the valves through the barrels. I know that you can damage your gun by smashing it on the ground, but it was a risk I was willing to take. Then, to remove the rest of debries from the valves you can do 2 different things. 1 Pump the gun as quickly as possible, and while the air hasn't completely leaked, pull the trigger while the gun is face down. This can blow some plastic out. 2. Take a thin (about 1/4") circular wooden rod and push into the valve while the gun is face down and twist the stick quickly. This will loosen the debries in the valve, and you will have to do step 1 to blow all the loose plastic out. You should combine these with hitting the gun on the ground face down. Repeat this until your gun no longer leaks. Lastly, you can remove the remaining plastic from the inside of the barrels, using your fingers. I have successfully tried this with my big salvo, SSPB, and my Blastfire, and have only failed it on my SS2. Before you call this totally ridiculous, try it and see for your self, it really works. Tomorow I hope to post some stuff in this thread about my big salvo, because I managed to plug the pump, and take some pics in the process. I also changed the barrels to 18" of CPVC, for the 40 pumps I am using versus the 8-10 it took before the Overpressure release valve kicked in.
A Possible Valve Fix
Has worked so far on Big salvo, SSPB, and BF
