I really apologize if this has already been posted, but it was kind of difficult to know what to search for. I know one video of it was posted in Angel's YouTube thread, but I found some more.

Breaking a lightbulb
Breaking a piece of heavy paper
Instructions on how to build

Again I apologize if this has been posted, especially if the creator is in fact a member. I don't think he is and I emailed him to tell him about the site. Hopefully he will be interested and join.

That is very cool. Nothing I have seen before. I think I might attempt making the gun in the last link.

Thanks for the finds.

He actually joined nerfhq not to long ago. As you can see here he posted some stuff about his rifle and says it gets 250 ft. with a stock dart. He hasn't been back in a while though. I think it should shoot mega missiles, or have a shotgun attachment so it is not as insane. But breaking a light bulb and a piece of paper really is not that impressive. He should have shown it blowing through a wall, or a tin can if he wanted to impress people.

A wall? Some Airsoft guns cant even shoot through a wall.. I mean dont get me wrong, but a wall is impossible. A tin I could see getting a hole in it.

Actually many Nerf guns are more powerful than airsoft guns, but the Nerf ammo is bigger and less well balanced(I think). I don't think an airsoft, nerf, bb or pellet gun could shoot THROUGH a wall. If it did imagine what it could do to a person! Nope that would be illegal. Maybe he ment shoot a stefan and make a hole in the wall.

I found this a few months ago... but forgot the link. Thanks!

Can't a modified titan break a bulb? It was only a few feet away in the video.

Oh, how did he make the breach thingy? I don't understand the instructions. He used some quick fix pipe thing and a irrigation valve but I dont know what those are..

I wish I could offer more knowledge, but I am not good with mechanics/homemades, even mods. I hope he doesn't mind me volunteering him but I know Ompa is quite good with homemades, so he might be able to shed some light on the situation with this gun.

Bob - I am not active on NHQ that much, but thanks for pointing that out. Perhaps my email will result in the addition of another good homemaker.

A wall, depending on the material is very possible to shoot through. I've put my hand through a wall. Now, we are talking something with an airtank like that guy who had 110x Ryan's, so it depends on what you consider a nerf gun, but certaintly with a stefan and a big enough air tank.

Again, I don't have the knowledge to say for sure, but I'm pretty sure it would be possible.

I don't think an airsoft, nerf, bb or pellet gun could shoot THROUGH a wall.

I own an air gun (pellet/bb) that could shoot through an interior wall. An exterior wall would be much more difficult (Don't believe the movies, the walls of your home will not stop bullets, they are not really that strong). I imagine that a really high powered (dangerously high powered) airsoft gun could also shoot through an interior wall. My cheap springers can put dents in walls. Nerf guns shoot much larger projectiles that are more than capable of denting, if not peircing, a wall.

Keep in mind that air guns are not toys, and shouldn't be used in anything like the same matter as airsoft or nerf guns (Dangerously high powered airsoft guns and nerf guns should be regarded in the same mannor). A well miss-placed shot could very likely kill someone.

Also keep in mind that this person did not show his gun shooting through a wall, though if he is somehow getting 250' with stock darts (I think someone figured out that the maximum possible theoretical distance is <200'), without them turning into confetti, he might be able to.

What movies have people shooting at houses and the walls stopping bullets? The most recent action movies that involved a house shooting that I have seen are The Transporter and Charlies' Angels(A metal trailer, but still- and it was on Fx, and I didn't know what it was.); neither of which stopped the bullets.

I think he used a quick-fix pvc fitting and a irrigation valve, whatever those are. The quick-fix thing is the cover I think.

You can find those at most hardware and/ or irrigation supply houses as a "quick-repair coupling".

When PVC irrigation pipes break in the ground, they can be repaired, but the limited and confined spaces in the repair areas (underground) make repairs with conventinal couplers difficult at best.

A quick-repair coupling is a telescopic coupler, simple as that. It allows the coupler to be collapsed, placed in the repair area, usually cut-away where the leak(s) are, and expanded between pipe ends and glued in place.

They come in most of the usual pipe sizes, but they are pricey. A 3 inch repair coupler cost me $22.00, and I had to buy a pair to fix my irrigation main.

Here it is, named as six-five-two called it, a "qwik-fix" coupling.

I didn't realize that it would make an excellent slide breech.

What's the big deal, people? It's a basic air-powered, solenooid-valve fired spud gun, adapted for Nerf darts. Granted, it's a nice design, and the breech loader rocks, but there's no rocket science involved there.

Thats a pretty wierd freaky thing. very cool.

If you have a really good BB gun it could, but it really depends on the materal of the wall.

Thanks, Pineapple. Isn't the Artemis Arms Mountain Rifle just as good as this one?

Oh, I use dart tag darts more than stefans because that is what all my friends have and I still haven't made my homemade darts safe yet..

Well the Artemis Arms Mountain Rifle got 170' feet on its longest shot with an average of 160'. I doubt it is more powerful than this since this has a high range of 250'. I'm not pissing on the Mountain Rifle; it is a great gun, just not as powerful. The ROF of the AAMR probably beats this though.

*Sigh*

Yes, I really like this guys design, I might see if I can scrounge up some repair couplings for my anti air (not really) Nerf cannon.

P.S. Firefox 2.0's spell check registers Nerf as a proper noun!

I just saw some 1/2 inch repair couplings at menards, and they were about 3 dollars.

I had no luck. Went to Rona and Home Depot and asked for a "quick fix pvc coupler". They just had some Push and Turn or something like that coupler that was for CPVC and PEX, however the 3/4" did fit over the 1/2" but the seal suckkked.

I don't want to insult anyone who works at home depot or anything, but if you're not talking to a department head you're talking to an IDIOT. Seriously, almost all the salespeople at the HD I go to are dumb. The ones who try to help me take longer to find what I'm looking for then if I was looking by myself. Go look for yourself and you'll be better off.

I just went to Osh and got all I need for this gun (exept the tire valve and pump) and they acually had like 8 different sizes for the couple. Part of why this gun got huge ranges is because the back of the exteneding part is 1/2" but it get's smaller slightely. This makes a bette seal and more preasure to build up behinde the dart.

It's weird I hadn't seen this coupler before at my Osh. They had sizes like 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/2", and so on till' 3".

Hmm, I thought it would be a real armour piercing nerf gun.
I made a gun that pierces a lot more than a lightbulb or paper...
Its not so much the gun, but the dart.
It has a pointy metal tip, and I use it for target practice (so I know where it hits).
Unfortunately, I *accidentally* fired it off and it got stuck in my wall.
Heh, don't try that at home unless you got a paramedic and some plaster.

Same here, I took my arctic shock (super soaker) and made extensive modifications to the tank and valve assembly. I then put a 6mm airsoft barrel on there, but you know what I fired? 6mm nail darts, yes bitch, oh yes. It was quite destructive and could pierce drywall and several layers of cardboard. I actually shot it at a wood fence from about 50-60 feet away and it got embedded in the wood about an inch.

Cheers,
Butt
