Can we get an up-to-date headcount? Anyone know, I don't feel like rereading all these posts. I think it would have to be 20 people for me to come.

Check the second post of the thread. There is where I will keep everything updated. Looks like we could have 30 people. I doubt it though.

Wow, it looks like only 7-10 for sure. I wouldn't go for less than 15, and it's very questionable at 15. 20 for sure.

I think the reason nobody knows for sure is because we're all teens and don't like planning ahead.

I for one am having trouble getting Friday/Saturday off work because my fellow teenage coworkers don't know if they're going to be busy or not. I'm guessing everybody else is in similar situations, whether it be their co-workers, their friends of themselves... nobody wants to commit this early.

My guess is that the week before, we'll hear everybody's final word. I promise to come if I can get work off.

Ok, I got the schedule, and there is no practice on the 16th. I'd say put me official, but my coach likes to plan stuff and not tell anyone till it's too late. Is there a "holy.crap.insanely.likely.but.there.is.that.one.little.doubt.' category?

My main problem is getting there. I thought this war was going to be in the summer, after my 16th birthday. If it was in the summer, I could drive up there myself. Anyway, I asked my parents and they said I could go, but they don't want to take me up there. If I can get a ride I will be official.

FYI guys, I'm still up in the air. I have plans made on expedia, but I don't know if I will be able to afford it yet.

I PM Ryan a while ago about a Illinois ner war, and he said he was planning on hosting one in the summer. Then, Jurrasic Park posted this for a Christmas Clash, and Ryan decided to host the war in the winter instead of the summer.

I was planning on having one this summer.

Eveyone else pushed it on me to have a war for Christmas Break. I'll still be having another war this summer. I can why you are confused.

After reviewing my financials, it DOESN'T look like I'm going to be able to swing this war. HOWEVER, the summer will be looking good, as I will be stockpiling cash for 'geddon anyway. It's a lot cheaper from NJ to Chicago, so I'll keep that in mind for the summer.

At least in Naperville the cops are called when a car is parked longer than 8 hours in a school when there is no school, There are plenty of cheap hotels and motels though, I think a motel is maybe 50-75 a night for a room.

So, schools are out. Is there a local Wal-mart? I know their lots are usually open.

You could actually park here at the bowling alley. No one cares if you park overnight. Other than that, you could probably park at the school. Cops are cool around here.

Whatever you think will cause the least amount of trouble (there's a question in there) (I can't imagine having to explain to the police at midnight that I'm "sleeping in my car to go to a nerf war the next day." "Nerf?" "Yea, nerf... blasters." "You shoot these things?" Then they'd look in my trunk, and wonder, Group of teenagers, projectile-firing toys, midnight. Huh. They'd probably tell me to go home, until they found out where I was from... anyways).

And yes, I think my crew (if we end up going) would love to do something in Chicago besides Nerf (ie dinner). After all, we don't get vacation time that often at my school, or a reason to go out-of-state.

I was thinking of having dinner on site like I planned. Have a little cookout and whatnot. I'll bring the Weber. We can do that for lunch also.

Try putting in 2S500 Gray Avenue. That worked for me. Here is an aerial of the place. Most likely you are getting off of 355.

I am 90 percent sure that I can make it up to a summer war there (Falcon knows why), my mom has a conference there this summer and I am definetly going to hit up a war or two around there in that time, most possibly a michigan and Chicago war, so, keep me in mind and I'll be looking for a recap thread somtime around the 18th or so.
