1. Is this happening anywhere else?
2. Should I buy one?
Sorry if there is some sudden rerelease that I didn't read about or if this is nothing new.

Dude...
That is definitely something that I would invest in if I were you. Many argue that they're better than First Edition Nite Finders. I don't think they're as comfortable as NF's, but that's just my opinion.
If you want a great pistol, by all means, get one. Or five.
Okay, so five would be rediculous (considering they cost a fortune because of that stupid target) but the guns themselves are certainly worth a decent amount on the forums. I just doubt that you could make a profit off of them because the price of the set with the target is so great, and I don't know anyone willing to pay that much for a spring pistol.
But for personal use, get them while you can.

I've seen them around here, at Wal-marts and Targets.
Here are a couple places that still sell them.
Pointshop (Bottom of Page)
JCPenney's
eToys
I can list a ton more. They are still pretty expensive for a frickin' side arm. Nonetheless, they are awesome. The JCPenney's one looks like the best deal out there. You get two for $20.

It's a repainted old school shell Tech target, but shoots micros. The colors are darker maroon and green I think. I haven't picked one up myself yet to compare the internals so I would be hesitant to say it's the same thing.

Also, on the subject of Target, I looked on the website, and I very nearly soiled my pants. They are selling Big Bad Bows. And also (curiously enough) a Titan independent of the Unity Power System, bizarrely dubbed the Big Bad Titan. And yellow color schemed guns, such as the NF, Maverick, and Firefly.
Oh Target, how we love thee.

In retrospect, it's kind of stupid for me to geek out about it, but I just thought it was worth spazzing over at the time.
