I stumbled upon this while looking at the babeshooter.

By the looks of this thing it seems like it might fit stock darts.
I think I am going to pick this up because green and black are my favorite colors and It would be yet another unique thing in my room of Nerf guns.
http://usb.brando.co...e63b0b6e39b96c9
If you guys wait for the page to finish loading a tiny video will appear above the display pictures.
This thing seems like its got some power.

Some questions:
Do the barrels manually rotate?
Do you guys think it can be modified?

EDIT: After seeing the video I am definitly picking one of these up.

I think I will get one because in where we nerf, my basement, is very small. We also play with all thed lights off so it wouldnt be visible. This reminds me of like a computer gun from a videogame that you plant somewhere. Is the rotations with the remote control fast?

Very interesting, paired with a webcam and an RC car this thing would be great for looking around corners and whatnot. If a wireless connection were possible this turret could be even more fun.

Unless sombody kicked it. That would suck.

But imagine the surprize on somebody's face when a toy car drove up and shot them.

but presumably the monitor would be. Unless you managed to hook up a USB extension cable long enough to control the launcher (and a camera) from a different room.

Doesn't sound that useful but it sure looks like fun.

I've seen how this thing fires. It fires with springs and whatnot.

Anyway, it's kinda like those action figure guns. <_<

The only thing you can do is remove the air restrictors, because if you a stronger spring in it you might break the motor.

Im definitely going to pick one of these up. It would be awesome if you could write a program to make it motion sensitive or motion tracking. Since it is USB and has driver software it problably is do-able.

Ok, I just saw a commercial about this new tyco-rc toy that is a little insect looking thing that can move around, and is controlled by a remote-control that comes with it. It shoots little nerf-like darts and supposedly can shoot up to 25 feet. So I guess it would be great to have it for an indoor war, because you could move it around corners and would be pretty easy to set up a camera on the top of it.

Here is the link for it.

So what do you guys think?

I think that we are all too enthralled by the idea of incorporating a remote control device into a nerf war. I say you all get off your lazy asses and nerf yourself, not through a machine.

Does anyone know how it cocks or primes?
Does it have some sort of pulley system that cocks it or an electric pump or something?

I am sure it is a small motorized pump.

If you look at some of the pictures with the silver rocket launcher there is a plastic peg coming out of the back of the rocket. Just like plastic action toys. This means that the silver one may not even be fired by an electric pump, but just a cheap spring.

Agreed. Good call, sniper25!

I had thought long and hard about how a USB powered device could generate enough air power to launch not one, but 3 little missiles through an office. They never showed the launcher without the rockets attached, and most of us were assuming that there would be three tubes that the foam rockets fit over, as in how just about all of our foam rocket products utilize for propulsion.

That plastic peg is a giveaway. The tapered area is where the spring goes over, and the notch is where the catch is held. Probably spring loaded base, released by USB controlled latches. Hmmm.

Again, good call.

Well I was going to keep this quiet untill a full write up was in order but I have received my Usb missile launcher.

You can see byu the comparison to the tagger that the arrows are made from a foam similar to the size of nanos.
Posted Image

Below you can see the prongs that the micro arrows fit over. The bottom one on the right is beginning its AR removal stage.
Posted Image

At first I thought that this thing was air powered but I was wrong. After taking out the one AR the missile laucher started making a louder bang. A louder bang in the sense of plastic hitting plastic at the end of a plunger stroke.

It does shoot the arrows very fast but max angled range is probably around 20 feet.

It also came with a pratty badass target to shoot at. 2' X 2'.

Originally I was thinking I shoudl ahve gotten the grey one instead because its more clicking friendly.
With the grey laucher you can see in the video the guy clicks a part of the screen and it automatically goes there. With this Launcher you need to keep clicking. It horizontal range of motion is around 310 degrees
For it to rotate completely from one side to the next takes like 200 clicks. So I don't see this thing being feasable in a wireless war robot thingy.

Expect a write up in the near future.
