I have been waiting to do this post for a while, but I have had a lot of things on my mind. Anyway, In this topic I will be comparing the Buzz Bee Big Blast, to the Lanard Blast Bazooka. Both of these guns are very similar, but when you have a choice of buying either a Big Blast, or a Blast Bazooka, here are some things to consider.

Opening the gun
Big Blast: Some what hard to open because you have to pry off a orange piece on the front of the gun.

Blast Bazooka: Very easy to open, just uncrew the screws.

Plugging the pump
Big Blast: One of the simplest guns to plug the pump on.

Blast Bazooka: Very hard to plug the pump because you have to pry off a pice gaurding the pump.

Internals
Big Blast/Blast Bazooka: Exactly the same.

Modding the gun
Big Blast: Pretty simple gun to mod. Just a barrel replacemnt and your done.

Blast Bazooka: Same exact process, Barrel Replecment.

Trigger System
Big Blast: The trigger on the Big Blast is a lot more stable and you dont need to reinforce it.

Blast Bazooka: Very Weak trigger, needs to be reinforced.

Other Little details:
Big Blast: The guns pump goes out further then the Lanard blast Bazooka, which enables the gun to be primed faster.

Blast Bazooka: You don't need to do a barrel replacment. You can remove the air restrictors, and darts will slide right in to the existing barrel, unlike the Big Blast.



Both the Big Blast, and the Blast Bazooka.


Mods that have been done to both guns.


Pimp sizes.

Overall, The guns are pretty similar, but If you had a choice, I would go with the Big Blast. Also, any other differences you guys can come up with? Which one do you prefer?

It's funny that you posted this; just today I went to K-Mart looking for tennis balls and looking in a Nerf aisle saw a Big Blast for $10. Actually it was $9.58 including tax so I guess it was marked down. It's an insanely nice gun, the construction is much higher quality than on the LBB and the pump seems sturdier.

Like you said it's MUCH easier to plug the pump on the Big Blast. One thing I have to disagree with though: if you just rip out the plug at the end of the barrel on the Big Blast, darts fit loosely but will work in the stock barrel. The Big Blast also has that nice oval-shaped wall in there so if you have a new barrel you can use that for support. I slapped a PVC coupler over the stub of the stock barrel on mine and used the oval-shaped wall as a base to glue the coupler on for some extra support.

Overall, I definitely recommend the Big Blast over the LBB; it's made better, easier to mod and gets just as good or better ranges. Mine is shooting well over 100' flat right now with 12" of brass nested in PVC. Ten pumps and it's ready to go and gets better ranges than any other gun I own.

EDIT: I just remembered this, the Big Blast's valve is actually made of metal, unlike the LBB valve which is plastic, so I'm not worried about it having any problems. Yet another reason to go with the Big Blast. If you don't mind the ugliness that is.

I'm going with the lbb just because I've never owned a big blast. I do think the big blast looks better though.

I love both guns. but if had to pick one it would be the big blast beacause I've had several problems with my LBB'S valves(they're made of plastic) A metal one is much better and sturdier. I also feel it lets out more air with a trigger pull.

I would go with a big blast because I think it looks cooler, the only downside is the lil' orange ring thing.
But I dont like the fact that its a ripoff of the LBB

I'd definitely choose the Big Blast. I have the LBB and my friend has a Big Blast and his outperforms mine In basically every category. Also, the Big Blast has an almost scary tendency to catch you in the crotch... We have yet to find out why.

I'd choose the Big Blast any day of the week. I've tried both. The Blast Bazooka maxes out with range at about 125 when modded correctly. (CPVC and Long Stephans) but the Big Blast has a max range of over 300 using the same mods. Of course, it destroys the dart.

if you want proof, i can get a video recorder on monday and prove it. (this is using Streamlines with BBs in the front)

One small problem however, i've burned out 3 or 4 triggers on this gun just from having 30 pumps in it. It snaps rather violently. I'm working on a way to strengthen this problem but i have yet to have any luck.

Whoah, what are you smoking? Blast Bazookas can max out at about 180, and theres no way in hell your getting 300 feet with a big blast.

Echo, just stop posting. There is know way a Buzzbee Big blast shoots 300'. Get off your drug medication, grab a tape measure and shoot thing thing angled paralell to the ground, then come back and tell me it shoots around 120'.

300'... WAHAHAHA! Guess what? Ryan's first homemade thing shoots a mega missile with a how many psi thing? Now you tell me it has that much air residue coming out when it shoots. They would have to put so much air restrictors in there to make it safe. The air tank would have to be what? Twice the size of a titan's?
