can any one tell me how to mod a double shot from buzz bee to get better um
well everything. i know the buzzbee company is a nerf imitator but i want a shot
gun that works and to be worth the 6 bucks i spent on it. ty in advance.

Put gun back in package, return to store and get nite finder for same price. Then modify nite finder.

Someone tried to modify the shells and got about 30' but theres not much you can do it because the plungers are so small.

i have nf's 3 to be exactall modded and painted black. i just wanted a decent shotgun.or at least enough range to screw with my friends.

There Is one mod Here that may help you out. But that is just for the cocking mechanism but still it may help you out.

I don't know of any other mods since I don't have a Double Shot.

So do you want a shotgun in the traditional sense of the word (i.e. firing a spread of smaller shots), or just a slug-type? Either way, the DS isn't a good choice. Poor range, ROF, and cartridge-based ammunition systems plague the thing. To create a shotgun that fires foam buckshot, search NH for "shotgun dart" or something similar. Any suitably powerful pump gun, and even a few springers, can be modified to use shot; just cut your darts down and weight each piece. You can quarter them lengthwise as well, and dab hot glue on the corners. The Double Shot won't ever be a good shotgun for you, though. experience has taught me it's more a novelty item than a frontline-worthy weapon. I hope my assessment helped.

There's no real reason you couldn't re-barrel a double shot and reap the benefits, but it's a pretty damn hard mod (I speak from experience; that thing kicked my ass), and those benefits aren't really all that impressive. I think someone nested cpvc inside pvc for the barrels, you could start there.

About your Double Shot, if you're not insistent upon keeping the shells I'd say strip it down and cut it to pistol size like the kid a few posts up did. Then glue on some CPVC/brass/Crayola barrels and you're done. I did it to mine and it's working great. It'll hit about 40' flat and has two barrels, and when it's the size of a large pistol I see no problem.

If you want to keep the shells, it's not a big deal. Just put some new barrels in the shells. Beware of the new restrictors though. I'd advise you to totally cut off the top 2/3 or so of the shells to get rid of the restrictor, it's a bitch. Then just glue in some new barrels and you should be getting at least 40' flat. Whoever said it wouldn't get over 30 is full of crap.

Good luck with it, they can be great pistols if you're not afraid to do a slightly more complex mod.

As for your double shot, just gut it for parts. You might be able to use the plunger tube and plunger for a homemade gun or something.

Sorry dont usualy capitilaize when im on-line, more out of habit so I can talk to people faster. Or use proper punctuation. and mid-terms have got to suck the seniors in my high-school started their proficancy exam today.

I modded my double shot if anyone is still interested in this topic. I'll post a write up in anyone is interested in what I did. Basically its more of an integration than a modification. Think of an at2k inside of a double shot. Thats basically what I did.
