I attempted to mod my mav and my NF. Both went really really bad. The mav won't fire. In the mav i replaced the stock springs with better ones and it won't fire. And in the nite finder i accidently got glue in the pump and accidently glued all the front parts together. Any one have suggestions on how i could revive the guns, or should i just trash them and go get new guns?

I don't know about the mav, but I might be able to help with the NF. By the pump, do you mean the plunger? If so what part did you get glue on? And what do you mean by the front parts? If you're doing a barrel replacement, then you don't need most of the stock barrel assembly (or I didn't).

yeah sorry about that i do mean the plunger. The front parts I'm talking about are the pieces in the front that hold the spring and the air restrictor. If you can help in anyway possible it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Could you possibly get some pictures of the internals of your maverick? It could either that the turret doesn't rotate right so the air from the plunger doesn't go into the barrel hole. Or it could be that the head of the plunger isn't lined up correctly with the turret.

I'm not too sure on how to fix the first problem, you probably have to move the gears around a little.
For the second problem, make sure the plunger tube is pushed all the way forward (There will still be a gap between the plunger tube and the turret). And try turning it so that when you pull the trigger the barrel hole and plunger hole align.

I can't seem to find a digital camera around my house. Also I dont think crazy glue is the way to go for ANY nerf mods what so ever.

thanks for all the help, i took apart the mav toyed around with the barrel, where the problem was and i fixed it it still doesnt get up to stock range, but it shoots and there is still some things i have to do to it. So if anyone still wants to post helpful things about the NF that would be execellent.

With the Nitfinder what do you mean all the parts are glued together?
If you mean glued into the gun then thats a problem.
If you mean glued together then we can work with that.
You could try my mod and drill through and cut the whole front barrel part and work from there.
That might work! Hopefully.

How is the stuck-togetherness of the air restrictor an issue? You can pull it out with pliers, though it's not as neat as a dremel.

He probably wants to barrel mod it not just take out the air restrictors, thats what modders do. Also he might want to drill out the back air restrictor that stops the plunger.

Even then, everything you'd need to do to replace the barrel could be done even with the restrictors glued on.

No, they keep the three prongs pushed up and heavily restrict air when a dart isn't laoded into the barrel. When a dart is loaded the spring compresses and allows more air to pass through the air resticters and thus firing the dart.
