A few days ago, I finished making a homemade somewhat simular to 3DBBQ's Walloper. I couldn't find a pump that was 1", so I justed used the one I made from my experimental plunger gun (1 1/4" wide pump). I pumped it about 20 times or so and I only get 1 good shot that doesnt go very far... 20-30 feet. I used a 3/4" check valve since 1" is about 3 dollars more. I am pretty sure there are no leaks, the whole gun is in threaded sections with teflon tape... this isnt nearly as good as the one 3DBBQ is talking about. I only get 1 shot, not the 20 he said... my version is alot bigger aswell... Why am I only getting one 20-30 foot shot?

Try putting it under water right after pumping to see if it's leaking.

Are you using ball valves? If you are, they might be too slow to open. So maybe you get wasted air that is not pushing out the dart.

Are they hard to open? If they are, try putting some grease on it. I also have seen some models at ACE where you can adjust the tightness of the valve.

Thank you very much for your reply 3DBBQ. I will put some silicone lube on the PVC ballvalve and some wd40 on the brass one (I got a brass one by accident and lost the reciept). I will also put it in a filled up bathtub and check for leaks. I haven't touched the gun in a few days, today I removed the air restricters on the longshot and replaced the barrel (not that anyone really cares what I modded)...

Possibly the tank is too big, try pumping it alot more like 3dbbq said.
