I bought a Titan a while ago and did the usual mods, plugging the overpressure release valve and such, but it took way too many pumps to be effective in a war. What I came up with was this:

I removed the extra crap, basically did the micro-titan mod. Then I cut the bottom of the grip flat and added a full-size bike tire pump. The pump has enough volume that at one pump with the twelve inch barrel I can hit about 60' flat.
This made the Titan a versatile long or short range weapon with a decent rate of fire, but what's the point of having a modded Titan if you can't pick off an opposing player at 150 feet? For that I have a 24" barrel with a silencer. The inside barrel of the silencer is thin-wall 1/2" PVC, which has a slightly larger ID than normal SCH40 but the same OD. This keeps the dart from rubbing against the walls of the silencer, but is still tight enough to prevent blow-by and hissing as the dart exits the barrel. With the silencer, you can barely hear the gun at all.

Ranges: I don't have a very large area to test flat ranges, so I could only do the single-pump range. To get a basic idea about how far the 24" barrel fires I shot some stefans down my street, which has a slight downward slope. Not a precise test by any means, but it did show something impressive: I was able to easily put darts 230 feet downrange with excellent accuracy.

Questions? Comments? Anti-Titan flames?

Somehow I don't believe you got 230 ft with a 24 inch barrel on one pump and only 60 with a 12 inch barrel. Maybe I missed how many times you pumped it to get the 230 ft range. It's a nifty invention though, I just think you failed to mention how many pumps it took you to get the 230 ft ranges(which is impressive by the way).

Oops! Four pumps, sorry. It doesn't sound like much, but since the pump has about three times the volume of the air tank it gets tough. I have to put the end of the pump on the ground to get the fourth one. Also, like I said this was on a slight hill, I'm sure it wouldn't be that good flat on flat ground.

Haha yes it's a very nice pump, the color is excellent  I got the pump at my local Ace hardware for about twelve dollars. It's made of steel and some cast metal for the base, so it's not gonna break any time soon.
Just to see what would happen I went up to six pumps just now. Good god, I never thought a nerf gun could scare me so much! I just shot it into a pillow and it was so loud when it hit I thought I had missed and hit the wall.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Thanks FA. Actually, it's not flimsy. It's not obvious from the pic, but I actually did that already so the barrel is very stable.

With that kind of range and ONE pump, you should totally put clip on it! That way you would get awesome ROF and insane ranges!

You should definately put an R.C.S.B. barrel on that. The combination between the range and ROF would be sick.

If you could mount the pump with the base at the muzzle, with an RSCB, it would be VERY cool. You could drop the base to the ground and pump like it was intended, while the tilt would load the RSCB. If you didn't want to pump on the ground, you could just pump it like a normal titan which would provide the downward angle and take less time.

If you do keep it in its current mount, though, I'd recommend using a pump with a rigid base, not the folding metal stirrups. The $8 Husky stand up pump from home depot is a good example of this. if you add a little padding, the base makes a great stock, both for aiming and as a firm platform for pumping. I recently made an arm-mounted portable strafer that uses this pump in said configuration, and it works extremely well. I can also drop it to the ground and pump faster.

hey I just got my titan and did the lolOMGwtfBBQ...

Several suggestions and warnings, so an admin doesn’t eat you:

1) Search. The internals of the Titan (as well as how to attach tubing) have been covered in-depth.
2) Check the date of the thread. Don’t post in old topics unless you have something to add. Questions are best addressed via PM.
3) Punctuation is your friend.
4) Don’t use AIM-speak. Proper spelling and grammar are expected around here.

Thanks.

Have you tried looking in the directory? Here?

If you go to Targets, you can get a Titan (w/o unity system) for just 20 bucks,
I went a few days ago, and it was on sale for 13.99!!

PS, since you bumped a page that hasn't been used in years, w/o adding anything significant...
we'll prob see you in a couple of years... but better luck next time

Edit: Damn it!! Carbon beat me to it.
