I went into ACE today and picked up a couple of lengths of brass, some NF sized springs, and about 6 O-Rings. The O-Rings I bought were four 1" sized (NF) and two 1 3/8" sized (LS). The LS O-Ring fits perfectly, but the ones I bought for my NF are just a little too thick. The plunger cap cannot fit down the pressure chamber. Would you suggest I sand down the rings with a dremel or what? It may be some time before I can get back to ACE to get some thinner ones, so a more immediate substitute is my priority. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Well if it helps any the O-Rings I bought for my NiteFinder were 15/16" for the outer diameter, 3/4" for the Inner Diameter by 3/32. I used 2 of these. And I wouldn't reccomend doing anything to the O-RIngs you bought because it would most likely ruin the seal.

If you must use that o-ring, don't sand it down, sand down the o-ring holder. (don't know the exact name) I, however found a perfect size o-ring at ace, I believe it was size 13... I use the combination of the stock o-ring and the slightly bigger one.

Good luck,

Ok, thanks. I think I'll try to buy some more. Another quick question. I bought some new springs...I think they were number 49 or something like that (ompa recommended them, I believe). I just put one in my NF, and this thing is scary. I takes a lot of my strength to pull it back, and I'm not a weak guy. When I pull it back, it has difficulty catching, and when it does I get scared that its going to explode. My stefans don't seem to be heavy enough for it, they tend to drift when fired, but tagger darts go a good 70'. What is the danger that this thing is going to blow up in my face? Is there some way I can re-enforce it? This thing is scary.

You should probably cut off a notch or two off the spring.
