As some of you might know, a reoccurring problem with the Supermaxx 5000 is the crappy stock pump. For some reason the check valve sucks and you have to replace the pump.

I replaced the pump with a standard dual action bike pump, the same one I used in the Titan + Longshot Integration. It works great for this gun and fits perfectly where the old pump used to be. I used some vinyl tubing I have from an RF20 to hook the pump up to the tank. I also did a tank relocation to this gun obviously.

About the paint: i used Krylon Fusion for paint. The used the 3M blue painters tape, which worked awesome. I touched it up wiht some model paint and now I have an awesome paint job.

Okay, how many pumps to equate the ol' 5000 pump?

I've got a 1500 pump on mine, and you've gotta pump 1-3 more times than the stock pump to get into the 100 foot mark. I really shortened the tubing to reduce the amount of pumps, but it's still 5-6.

If it's less than that, you've inspired me. Plus, the forward grip is something I always like on a blaster.

You might not believe me but, I get about 150' at 4 1/2 pumps. Don't forget that this is a dual action pump so that is really equivalent to 9 pumps with any regular pump. This pump also has a pretty large air capacity so a lot of air is being pumped at once.

The 1500 pump is about half the size of this pump compared to this pump in size. Bike pumps rule!

Just joking around guys, Ryan that gun looks great though and it is very cool that you only need 4.5 pumps to get 150 ft. Very sweet gun.
My one true question though is how long does it take to load and fire it?

Looks sexy. The only thing I would change is the color of the pump. The red kind of clashes with the overall look of the gun. The blue/black/silver is a nice touch though. Good job.

Yeah I have been thinking about it. I'll probably hand paint it blue when I get the chance.

I got it at Dick's sporting goods. You can probably get them at any sporting goods store. The company that produces the pumps is called Blackburn. The model name is the Airstik. Check it out at their website.

My one true question though is how long does it take to load and fire it?

Same as any other single shot gun. I might put on a stripper clip to increase the rate of fire a little bit.

I saw that exact same pump at my SPorts Authority. I was going to pick one up but
1. I'll probably manage a way to screw it up
2. They are expensive ( $20)

Although, I'd really like to get one.

Which pump is better , this one here or the one you used on your mini titan? Are dual action the way to go?

This pump is way better. It has a bigger capcity and it is dual action. It might be a little pricy, but it is worth it. It was the same pump I used in the Titan and Longshot integration.
